Re: The somethingly something Mike Miller thread
One thing we've got the give to Mike is that he really pulls off the whole Jazz tights, which I really didn't think was workable.
I mean, just compare and contrast these and tell me which one is the coolest.....

It's not even close.

Why don't the Wizards make Miller the point guard and Foye the shooting guard?

Re: The somethingly something Mike Miller thread
I don't think Miller is trying to protect numbers for a payday. I just don't think he's able to play "his game" with the roster we have right now. as ppl have said on this thread, he's a kickout guy. i like the idea of letting him run a point fwd role and moving foye (no court vision) to SG. let him play a scottie pippen type role. unfortunately, we have no MJ
....

Every draft there are plenty of Steve Novak & Chase Budinger type shooters available, we don't need to sweat re-signing Mike Miller.

Re: The somethingly something Mike Miller thread
Miller doesn't have the handles to play point forward.
mike usually picks up his dribble and gets fluster with any on ball pressure. That and the guy can't shoot off the dribble.

Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

Re: The somethingly something Mike Miller thread
I really think Miller not shooting enough is so overblown by this board. In nearly every thread everyone bitches about MM not shooting enough and passing up open shots. Call me crazy, but I'm not seeing all these blatently open shots that he's passing up. Perhaps he could be more agressive in looking for his shot, but blaming Flip for Miller not shooting enough is just looking for crap to complain about. Haters always find a way to hate. Listen, even if MM takes all these allegedly open shots and makes 100% of them the Wizards will still not win any games. It's really a moot point everyone is totally overblowing.

Little known fact lost in the antiquity of time... At the very beginning of Gil's nba career he played defense for my hapless Warriors. Two things happened. First, he emerged as a star on the offensive end and a player who very much needed to be on the court for us. Second, he fouled out of a few games.
The die was cast then and there. Gil had to tone down the defense for the Warriors to have a chance, and he's been that way ever since.
