LOL, Cousins >>>>Aldrich.

I think chances are dwindling by the day for your shot at Cousins. If it already isn't dead. The poster who said Cousins will be gone by pick #4 is almost certainly right. The Warriors would take a chance on Cousins. Riley has consistently said we need quality bigmen (see his "Beef" comments). There are two bigmen in this draft. Maybe three--Cousins, Favors, Monroe. The others, Aldrich, Whiteside, Alabi are all high upside or the safe pick with little upside. The top 3 guys should be gone by pick 7. Looks like Washington, Indiana, and Philly could out lose you guys. Good luck hoping to get into the top 3, but realistically I think you guys are looking at a top 7 pick.

We need payback from last year so I'm for winning the lottery with less ping pong balls.

True in an overall talent aspect, not true in perhaps a defensive impact sense. Aldrich doesn't have the offensive skill Cousins has but defensively Aldrich >>>> Cousins. If it came between the two I certainly rate Cousins higher, but our need is greater for Aldrich. There were rumors that Cousins is pretty set on returning to school, all I can say is it would be a huge mistake on his part. I think the top three of the draft goes as follows: 1st pick: Wall, 2nd pick: Cousins, and 3rd pick: Turner regardless of who's picking where.

I think team need plays into this some as well, IMO.

For example, say GSW have the second pick and wall is gone. Would they draft another player similiar to what they already have in Turner? Or if 510TWSS is right, would they go for Favors/Cousins? I tend to think they'd draft one of the bigs.

OR, if Wall/Turner go in the first 2, and Minnesota has the third pick, would they take Favors or Cousins? I tend to think no, unless they plan on trading KLove or Al Jeff. But then again, this is the same franchise that drafted Rubio/Flynn consective picks, so common sense might not win out.

I could be wrong, but as we saw last year, team needs definetly played a role in who was drafted where.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

I'm hoping the Kings can get Evan Turner. Yes a big would fill an obvious void, but I feel that if we get Turner then we have another ball handler on the floor with Reke. Reke by himself isn't going to be a distributor. If we get Turner and have Evans we're just one player away, and I think we can acquire that big after the fact.

I just think bigs have bigger bust potential than wings. Better yet you have to pay more for a big to get less production. I just see it that way. Favors has star athleticism but his game seems limited. Cousins seems like he can be a solid big, but I'm just not sold. I just see two guys that will be solid pros but not perennial all stars. That's what we need. I know we will need some luck to get Evan Turner in the draft. I just think with Turner and Evans on the team we're a free agent destination. With Thompson/Hawes/Landry and cap room we're S&T compatible to an extent for a big.

At some point we need to get better veteran leadership in here as well so having an experienced big man should take precedent over getting these young bigs with potential.
