That's the fatter me of a while ago - this is more current

The GF suggested I grow a beard just for fun, and then she liked it so I've had it for a while now. I was devoutly anti-beard for most of my life ... I am a facial hair hypocrite

this is a nice interview, for anyone who's interested

Now, back to the game...

Anyone have advice for semi-regular calf strains? I pull the damn things all the time, despite doing stretching and loosening exercises, and using the shoulder-harness machine, the one where you put your shoulders under the two bars and go up on your toes?
I'm scared one of these days it will tear instead of just pulling.

Haha bad a$$ nonetheless. For some reason, I imagined you to be much older, like white hair old.

Try hydrating some more, especially throughout the game. Hydrate with fluids that have salts in it, most of the "high tech" sports drinks have electrolytes in them or try coconut water like Steve Nash. If you are a sweater you have to hydrate with salts often.

I looked up the band and listened to a few songs. Most places described it as a mix of ramones and velvet. It reminded me more of Television though, which is great! Loved it.

Are you still playing/doing music? Or have you completely stopped?

Sorry for going off topic (I notice this board is pretty sensitive about it), but I'm a musician too and into this kind of music so I was interested.

Still playing - have a new album coming out this summer, if I can get it
finished. Derwood from Generation X is on one cut and Bob Egan from Wilco/Blue Rodeo is on another. Kurt from New Pornographers plays drum son it.
Big smile that you heard Television in there - huge influence. Both Verlaine and Richard are formative influences.

Since everyone here is short, I basically play PF/C even though I stand at 6'0.
I wear T-shirts whenever I play, and I always put on my ankle brace for my left foot.
I wear Addidas sneakers (Pro Model or something like that).

I consider myself as a one-on-one post defense specialist and a rebounder.
Kind of like Dejuan Blair, since I don't take much shot attempts as well and I mainly score on putbacks from offensive glass.

Nice. New Pornos and Wilco! Make sure to let us know when that's available. I could hear a few songs on myspace. Is there another place with more songs? I'm pretty big on canadian indie. The Stills, Arcade Fire, New Pornos, BSC... It's just kind of difficult to get their stuff down here.

I was in a band with similar influences. We were into that post punk kind of revival a few years ago. Here http://www.myspace.com/skylopezba . Now I'm kind of on my own http://www.myspace.com/snowwing it's kind of lo-fi instrumental, ambient....or something.

Well I got a bench technical last game, of all the dumb things to do, and of all the people who should know better being a phoenix suns fan, I came off the bench during a fight to try and break it up, why do I never learn :P

FT's always bounce the ball four times, make sure that my hand is on the logo of the ball before shooting and all lines are running parralel.

Not really a habit but a must for me, I sweat buckets, and I mean buckets, so I have two headbands, one black, one orange (uniforms are orange of course, go suns) black one always first half, orange one always second half.

I did that a couple of weeks ago, but there was only one ref and she was working hard to break up the altercation so she probably didn't see me off the bench on the other side of the court lol. I was going in in case someone does something.
