Ouch. Calgary beats San Jose, Edmonton beats Detroit.

Re: Around The NHL
A ridiculous amount of Blackhawk fans in Phoenix tonight for the Blackhawk/Coyote game. If you watch the highlights, you'll probably think it was played at the United Center. Guess there's a ton of people down there for Cubs/White Sox Spring Training that went to the game.

Re: Around The NHL
Has this ever happened in the NHL before yesterday? Two overtime goals scored with less than a second left (McBain - Carolina and Zetterberg - Detroit) both scored OT goals with less than a second remaining.

Re: Around The NHL
How exactly is the Islanders/Rangers game the Hockey Night on Y! game when the Penguins/Capitals game is on?
Who the hell wants to watch the Islanders and Rangers? Not even their fans do.

Pens-Caps is on NHL Network, so I don't think Yahoo! can pick it up

Real good game so far too. Love watching Semin get destroyed.

I know what you're thinking. We're in the middle of a city, what's a hawk doing there?

Re: Around The NHL
well the union banned head shots, no shocker there. It takes effect immediately, as in games tonight.
Im assuming this just means that the league will now apply harsher suspensions to head shot hits and that it is now a penalty. Is that it?

That's what I would imagine. Maybe a fine, too.

Ha. Just saw highlights of the Blackhawks game. How many soft goals did Huet give up? At least five. How does Niemi not play more than him?

Well, Niemi did let in one himself last night...

And Huet let about three in by himself. That first goal was hilarious. Talk about a delayed reaction.

I'm pretty sure I saw a picture of Yoda on Wade Dubielewicz's mask.
