Wizards @ Pacers 3/24 7:00

Post#1 » by nate33 » Wed Mar 24, 2010 8:34 pm

The Pacers have won 3 in a row and seem to have unwisely abandoned a tanking strategy. The Wizards have lost 12 in a row and look to avoid the longest losing streak in franchise history.

The Wizards could really use a win here for the sake of everyone's sanity.

Blatche goes for 50 and the game winner, lol

Seriously though, the Pacers are playing great now because its like the 1st time all year that they are completely healthy and they actually do have some nice talent. Dray has a very hard matchup with Murphy who is also playing well so hopefully he doesnt get into foul trouble by guarding the lefty. Eitehr way I would like to see him get back to playing how he was before the ankle injury where he was posting up alot and being aggressive, wether it was in the post or drives. Dont just settle

I'm sure Blatche will play well. He seems to do his best when looking for revenge.

How does the midget still get minutes. Damn, I'm so sick of Boykins play.

Blatche and Singleton are a combined 12-20. That's 60%

The rest of the team are a combined 6-29. That's 17%

Dray still doesnt have alot of pep in his step tonight. He's not even playing that well and I think he still has 16. Thats how easy it is for him. If he gets the energy level that he had before the ankle injury, he couldve got 40 tonight but pretty much no one has energy except for Singelton as usual

We have 5 assists as a team with 6 minutes left in the first half. And we're losing by 17 to a team with Josh McRoberts as their center. I'm embarrassed.

James Singleton & Josh McRoberts both having career nights, nuff-said.

What? There was a Wiz game tonight? Who knew?
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Now that was one ugly game but I guess that was to be expected after the Flip/Dray issue. That no doubt affects the whole team, specially when you have Flip calling out Dray in front the team in a meeting and Dray having to stand up to defend himself.

Not good given the losing streak. Is that the straw that breaks the Camels back ? We had been fitting hard in several of those losses. I wonder if Flip is really loosing these guys this time. To his advantage, they are young players and lots aren't signed beyond this year so I guess they will do what they need to do to get an opprotunity to showcase themselves to anyone who is watching.

I guess we will know more soon. Friday is Gil day. That is going to be another hit if he gets time. We may not see another competitive game this year. Before you know it, they will be counting down the season once they see only 8 games to go. 7 games to go.

It's been interesting. I thought last year was interesting but this year was really interesting. Thanks for celebrating and suffering through it with me.

Gil is going to jail. The question is how long. Looking at the sentencing recommendation I think more than 3 months is possible. However I would be shocked at more than 6 months.

I hope it is a boring year next year with the drama on the court rather than off it :)

Flip has really sucked the life out of this team. The energy and enthusiasm these guys were playing with is all gone.

What is the point of trying hard when the coach doesn't have your back? I dare someone to name one coach who has berated his own players to the extent Flip has this season. Flip is pissed that he's in this mess. The players are sulking because the next win is no where in sight. Please end this marriage after this season and bring in a guy who might be emotionally invested enough to lead a squad that might not win a lot of games.

The energy and enthusiasm was gone before Flip started flippin... It disappeared not to long after Howard went down...

I heard Flip is also responsible for global warming and cancer... :-?

When the teams only legit NBA starter is Andre Blatche I find it hard to blame the coach for the teams poor performances.

What I do blame him for is not getting Miller involved enough and the continued playing time for Boykins.

After two bad outings against an incredibly hot Bucks team, we played incredibly hard against Boston. Then Flip came out and humiliated his players and ordered them to play like a bunch of pussies. Instead of being proud of watching a young team take it to a veteran championship squad, Flip dogged his players. The team has stunk ever since. We were competing in games up until that point. Ever since then, it seems like the players simply don't care about anything Flip has to say.

Flip has been flipping all season. But what he did after the Boston game was a morale and enthusiasm killer. Not having your teams back after an incredibly tough loss.... that's rough.
