Nocioni: "I hope to go away from Sacramento"
http://www.clarin.com/diario/2010/03/25 ... 167304.htm (in Spanish)
Some highlights (loosely translated in my Engrish ):
"I think they have shown me I'm not a part of this group. Thus, I have no problem. I can accept it. I hope all of this ends, because I don't think this year can be recognized as a positive in my career"
"I went from playing 30 minutes to play 5 or not play at all. I don't know why"
" I don't want to be a starter. I'm not a star and I don't think I could be a starter in any NBA team. But I can play 20/25 minutes consistently. That's clear for me. Physically, I'm fine, no problems with my knees, no problems at all"
about his DUI: "I made a big mistake. I almost never go out and in USA I went out very few times, so I made the mistake of driving after a drink. The alcohol level wasn't high at all but that's OK, it's over" (personal note: I know Andres doesn't like alcohol too much, or at least he didn't until 2/3 years ago)
then he talks about Turkey World Cup and his wish to be in Argentina's NT.

He's got a point about inconsistent time which everyone has had to go through but all in all I think everyone wants him to be traded. We have enough pieces at the wing spot and guys I much rather play than him anyways. Hopefully we can move his contract in the offseason.

What a loser. When you play like hot garbage, your playing time will be affected.

Great, just ask to Petrie to be relieved of your contract Noc, I'm sure he'll understand.
P.S. The reason for your lack of minutes might slightly be, just slightly, due to your horrid shooting and your allergy to passing.

I think he's saying that the Kings and he aren't a good fit at his point of his career. He's right! I don't have a problem with a player saying "play me." If he wants out I think he should go to the players union and lobby to mutually terminate his contract.
Until that happens IMO he's not that unhappy.

Again he can ask for his contract to be terminated. Until he does that he's happy. I don't care what he says. His actions don't say "I can't stand making $7m a year to do nothing in the game." The best way to protest is to ask for your release without money. He's not. He can STFU!

I completely understand the point he's making and can sympathize...to an extent. As ICMTM said, he's in a position where he just does not fit with where the team is going. Solution to this problem...he needs to have his agent working his butt off to find trade ideas that move him to a better situation for him while giving the Kings something that benefits them. Otherwise, negotiate a buyout. I would hesitate to say that the team is really better off without him since that would imply that he's a locker room cancer, which I don't think he is. He's just the odd man out who's taking up a roster spot and sucking money away from the cap. He's the new Kenny Thomas.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Exactly! The problem with Nocioni (like Thomas) is that even at a bargain is will he get any interest from another club? This could very well be his last stop in the L! To spend it on the bench on a rebuilding team can be frustrating. I sympathize to a point with him actually.

I hope he'll accept a cheap buy out then, because nobody's going to want him at his price tag.

With the way Hawes got punched in the nuts for his "complaints" I would expect nothing less for Noc if this is indeed what he said.

"I'm not a starter" he says, yet he expects near starter minutes.
I want him out of here SO badly.

See Ya NOC I wont miss you !
You really haven't done that much for us overall since you got here .
You should have been traded this year for a bag of Doritos at least I could have enjoyed that ! You are a 6-7 million dollar per season waste of a player !

Re: Nocioni: "I hope to go away from Sacramento"
Nocioni numbers are down across the board and as a partial consequence, He didn't get consistent minutes. I still believe Nocioni can be a productive player in the NBA if used correctly.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

I don't understand all the hostility. He gives his best when he's in the game (I'm not saying what I think of his "best"). You can't ask for more than that. Would any of us give up his salary if we were in his position? All the same, that contract does make it difficult. However, the King's took him, didn't they?

Back when the Kings were competitive, they lost games because of Noc, literally lost games because of him, he really has himself only to blame, and he should prove he's worthy of minutes not the other way around.

A couple of things. First on the subject of giving up salary I'd say thousands, perhaps even millions, of people have had to make the decision to go to a job that pays less salary, in order to get themselves into a better position professionally, so it's not like this is an unreasonable request of Noc.
Secondly I would disagree with your assertion that he's always given his best. I think there are times when he gives 100%, he definitely can show a tremendous amount of effort. However his stay in Sac has also shown him to have a selfish streak (not passing, shooting to soon).
I do however agree with your last point, the Kings were the ones who decided to make the trade for Noc, they knew how much they'd be paying him, and they could reasonably infer that he was near the tail end of his career, and they made the deal anyway. No one put a gun to their heads.
