Latest signings:

DE Rodrique Wright - Listed at 6'5, 300. Was a beast in Texas, but hasn't played ball in a year. I've heard he's had some motivational issues since then. Can be a good pickup for depth.

LB Lance Laury: Hopefully spark special teams.

Re-signed SS Eric Smith $1.67/1 year: Came up huge for us in a few games last year.

Re-signed FB Tony Richardson 1 year: Integral part to our running game. Even at 38, a no-brainer re-signing.

It's great that we managed to retain Smith. He was a big factor in games last year. Now we need to retain Brad.

Richardson was never going anywhere. Nonetheless, glad he's staying.

I really like both players coming back. The Clowney deal to me is interesting, I had high expectations for him early and I've been thoroughly disappointed but he barely gets a shot so who knows.

Very cheap deal for Brad.

Is it just me or is Braylon's contract a little rich?

Glad he's back. B-Marsh time. :D

It's one year though which is nice and I think the tender offer meant teams would have to pay us nicely to steal him. I think the price of that one is steep enough to make a B-Marsh deal hit the backseat...which would kinda suck.

We could still try and get Marshall, but I think now it might cost us.

So Rex is upset with Leon for not showing up to the camp. Was the only player to bail.

So what kind of package can the Jets put together for Marshall, especially without giving up a 1st)? Last year they wanted David Harris and I really dont want to give up Harris. And if we can get Marshall or even if not how can we also get Sharper? This would be a stellar offseason and I would bet most preseason rankings would put the Jets in the top 5... Croamartie, Tomlinson, Marshall, Sharper... That would be rediculous.

I've been reading around that Denver could lower their asking price for Marshall especially moving closer to the draft, much lower if they still have him after. I believe ESPN reported that they would take a 2nd (ours is No. 61) and 4th (Ours is No.124 from Arizona) for him. If we were to give that up, we'd have one pick on the first day and the rest on the second like last year. Wouldn't mind that at all, especially for an amazing Number 1 WR. Hopefully Ryan can straighten him off the field.

Sharper is free to sign anywhere since he's an unrestricted free agent, but he's not drawing any interest anywhere.

I'd give up a 2nd and 4th for sure to line up Marshall with Edwards while you put Cotchery in the slot...that's vicious when you add Keller and LT as receiving threats. I like Sharper short term only, because I don't like our replacements for Rhodes thus far.

If we manage to get B-Marsh for 61 and 124, that would be a great job by MT yet again.

Marshall and Edwards as 1 and 2 are deadly, especially when Cotch is still there at No. 3.

I'm really liking how our team is shaping.

Now, this all depends on chemistry and if it will work.

Reports have said that Sanchez placed a call to Marshall.

New Jets news this week, Feely has signed a 2y/3M pact to Arizona.

Now that they won't retain Rackers, he is visiting the Jets to possibly swap kickers.

News Break.

Neil Rackers was scheduled to visit the Jets today, but he signed with Houston late last night.

Also, Jets decided to halt their bid for Brandon Marshall.

Agreed.

Folk I'm not confident on, and I wanted to get Rackers.

Jets are making a big run at Jason Taylor. The defense continues to get sure'd up.

Edit: btw, how would you feel about drafting Mays at 29. He's a bit scary after the Gholston pick but I think he can play the position and has athletic ability incomparable to any S in the draft.
