Thanks for going off on tangents "whoknows"
KG's leadership couldn't do squat in Minny with Spree and Cassell. Winning is all that matters. People were resorting to calling him the "ultimate role player" and a guy you couldn't build around. He changed people's perspectives in Boston.
Now that that's clear...
You've yet to answer the basic question, who has Bosh had that's anywhere even close to Spree and Cassell.
Maybe your rebuttal should be, who knows?

you were probably young, but KG always played hard and his defense (unlike CB4) is very much respected in the league.
If you can not see a difference on the game intensity and demeanour between a young KG and CB4, you either are too young (and only watch KG in the last years) or just don't want to loose a silly argument.
regardless, my reply is ending here, there are better things to do than convince someone not willing to listen.

Again. Completely disregarding the question and then trying to take away from the point by playing the "you were probably too young" game.
You don't know my age.
You probably don't remember KG also having Terrell Brandon to work with during the late 90's. A guy who some people regarded as the best PG in the NBA at one point (and yes, that's probably a shock to you because you're the one who's doesn't know)
I'm saying that KG's tenacity and leadership couldn't do squat with that type of talent around him...yet Bosh hasn't even had anything close.
You continue to allude the question and go off on tangents.

Young KG was better than Bosh. Like way, way, way better. Accept it. Chew on it. Live with it.

No.
I would think we learned our lesson with Bosh. Building around soft finesse PFs is not the way to go.

The funniest thing is that people used to exaggerate about Bargnani fans saying Bargs can be a solid #1 option, but this guy actually wants us to BUILD AROUND Bargnani.
wow.
I like Bargs as much as the next guy, but he's simply not near that level yet. Let's see a full season of good, consistent play from Bargs before we even talk about that stuff. He hasn't even sniffed an all-star game yet ffs.

I honestly wouldn't mind them building around DD, Weems, and Amir.
Sure, they probably would suck. But it would be entertaining to watch them play their hearts out.

Re: It is time to build around Bargnani!
um as much as I like BArgs, his play (which was awful) during Bosh's absense solidifies the fact that he isn't a piece you build around.
Don't ever mention Denis Rodman and Bargs in the same breath-can I saw total opposites...
this one game of 15 boards is fools gold. Why?
-Hedo wasn't around to "steal" 8-9 boards that Bargs got today
-this one good game doesn't make up for the rest of the games since the ASG where he has been sleepwalking it on defense
-His Clutch play in shooting fadeaway over Melo instead of taking it strong is a problem and probably the reason we didn't win (don't kid yourself, Bosh doesn't win the raptors that many games)
-usually it is a Bargs 3 or dagger shot that stabilizes our team in the 4th and he did not show up

To all the jokers who question the OP....We built around Chris Bosh...We all know how far he got us.
I don't think suggesting to build around Bargnani is that absured. Couldn't possibly be much worse than building around your current supposedly team leader, Chris "fake all star" Bosh.
At least Bargs doesn't disappear or fumble the ball when they are counting the chips.

He was awful when Bosh was out and if you think we ve surrounded him with a good team, I dont know what to say.

You can't seriously think giving Bargnani the ball more than Bosh would actually help anything...right? That's just insanity.

It's been a bad season!!!!
If he's the leader, then this reflects on him!
Build around Bargs, move him to the 4. Get a Center who can rebound and get a legit PG.

Bargs isn't a natural 5 and it is unfair to judge his game based on that fact. Considering he was thrown into what may be the hardest position to play in the NBA, he's done really well.
I would like to see him in the 4

Building around Bargnani is not wise unless he blows up next yr. Right now he is like top 50th player in this league. So he is not close meeting the requirement..

Don't ever disrespect Gasol like that.
Gasol led the Grizzlies to 50Ws and a playoff appearance....Bargnani is an airhead who will be lucky to lead his team to a better record then the Nets this season.
Prepare for the worst TO team in franchise history; yes even the ORIGINAL roster is better then this group of overpaid Euro softies.
What are you talking about? Please take a look at the Grizzlies roster!
Conley > Calderon
Mayo > DeRozan
Gay > Tukoglu
Randolph = Bosh
How can you compare Memphis to Toronto? Are you kiddin us?

Re: It is time to build around Bargnani!
I got another question for all the forum: why does Andrea was on the bench in the last action of the game? Why? He got 15 rebounds, and the last rebound, the most important was grabbed by the Nuggets when he was on the bench. What was JT thinking about? He's a very poor coach.

As much as I would like to, but no, Bargs is not a franchise player. His numbers aside, he is just not the type of guy who I would see being the leader.
A 2nd option yes... and as I was watching the game y'day at some point A.Wright had taken like 4-5 shots and missing all of them in the 1st Q while Bargs had only 1 ?? There I thought wow, even a guy that comes into the starting line-up for an injured player takes more shots than Bargs... something wrong here.

Re: It is time to build around Bargnani!
semantics. there's nothing in the bible of basketball that says you can't build around a secondary guy. AB's a player that many a PF/C could be productive next to. there are many kinds of players that would thrive with AB.
Put AB on the Cavs - you don't think he's lighting it up, playing D for coach Brown, and generally getting it done? Put him on the Hawks - I think he produces. The Knicks? Big numbers. And so on. The guy isn't a bust. He's no franchise player but that by no means precludes him from being a part of a winning team.
