I predict the 6th pick. We trade the pick and Donte Greene to the Bobcats for Gerald Wallace. 2nd round pick Sanham from Saint Marys

Udrih
Evans
Wallace
Landry
Hawes

with Thompson, Casspi, and Garcia as our main bench players. Still missing the future 5 but wont be able to get one in this draft anyways with the 6th pick. 2010-2011 Kings win 38 Games and inch a couple steps closer to the playoffs. Summer 2011 Kings get crazy and make a blockbuster trade.

Lol what? I don't think I'd trade the draft pick straight up for Gerald Wallace...and Sanham is gonna be nothing more than a stiff in the NBA if he ever even plays here (which I doubt).

I predict we are selecting at #6 in the draft. But if we lose most of our games down the stretch (like 2-8 or 1-9) we have a strong chance to sneak in the top 4 IMO.

I've watched Samhan all his career and I know him well, but he's no NBA player. He's a great college player, but stiff as they come, can't jump and is really clunky. He'd be a GREAT commentator though XD Guy is hilarious.

#3 spot, for Cousins.

I have a feeling some guys will stay in school and weaken what should be a good draft. I hope I'm wrong tho. This is our year to grab that player. I don't forsee us being in the top 5 again.

I truly believe in my heart we will finally get lucky & get either the 1st or 2nd pick this year we will get either Wall or Turner .
I also believe we would swing a trade that will land us a 2nd 1st round pick in this years draft as to who we would try to do the trade for possibly ALDRICH , MONROE etc. I believe that player would be a CENTER if not POWER FORWARD I would lean towards the CENTER though but that really depends on how high we would move up !

Also I do not think we will be bringing back S.MAY though i think their is a chance for IDOKU .
I think MAY has played quit well for his role as a KING especially because his salary is so low I just dont see a spot for him having BROCKMAN , HAWES , THOMPSON , LANDRY as well as having DORSEY if we keep him. Not to mention any POWER FOWARD or CENTER we could draft .
I beleive resigning Idoku would depend on if we trade 1 or 2 of our 4 SMALL FORWARDS in the off season . I also believe D.MCGUIRE is likely gone !

Reality is if we win say 2 more games (@Cle, @ Ind, @Min, Por, SAS, LAC, Dal, Hou, @LAL) we will end up with the 7th or 8th spot. If we win 1 more game, most likely 6th spot. And if we go 0-9 the rest of the season, we will likely get the 4th or 5th spot.

Getting a top pick just isn't in our favor...AGAIN

And this will be exactly like '07 and '08...in which 1-2 games is the difference between the 9th and 5th spot for lottery ping pong balls. We missed out on Oden/Durant/Horford, we missed out on Rose/Beasley/Westbrook...

I think top 8 for sure, barring a win streak during these last 10 games. I think we can stay behind Philly and Indiana. I don't see moving past Detroit with the pathetic way they've been playing. But still, even if were in the 6-8 range, we have a shot at jumping into the top 3.

I can't possibly imagine that we will be rewarded in the lottery. So, probably like the 6th or 7th pick or something like that. Probably pick Aldrich or Whiteside in that range.

I'd love to trade either Greene or casspi for an additional lottery pick in the 10-14 range.

With our pick we can get Al-Farouq Aminu
With the other pick pick up a Aldrich, Whiteside, Monroe. One of them is sure to fall to that range.
or
Pick Eric Bledsoe (I think he has Westbrook like potential), and get a big with the other pick.
or
If we cannot get another lottery pick we can look at a Willie Warren. The only knock on him is he is undersized..

Beno/ FA
Evans/ Garcia
Aminu/Casspi or Greene
Landry/JT/Brock
Hawes/pick/May

just some thoughts

I would also trade DG or OC and our pick if in the 5 plus range to get Turner.

Evans/Beno
Turner/Garcia
Greene/Casspi
Landry/JT
Hawes/FA

If we got the Number 2 pick I think Petrie would be doing the C-walk and he might pull out the shopping cart and brush his shoulders and shoes off on the way to shake hands.

However I fully expect us to end up with the 4th pick after the way we have been playing. I can't see us winning many games even after evans comes back not after such devastating losses.

With that pick I will be happy to pick either Favors or Cousins, Either one will make me happy.

Not sure where you're getting your math there. We're currently sitting in 6th and we're 2 wins off of Philly/NY who are tied at 9th. If we win 2 more they'd both 0-10 & 0-9 just for us to get that 7th or 8th spot (which ain't gonna happen).

Right now, I think we're picking 6th. The way I see the season ending:
Wins against the Clips at home and possibly on the road against the Lakers (they'll rest their guys). That puts us at 26 wins
NY wins 1-2 more (Miami & Washington at home) to put them at 27 or 28.
Philly takes 2-4 wins (some combination of Detroit/Toronto/Miami at home and Orlando on the road in the last game of the year) to put them at 28 to 30 wins
I don't think we catch Detroit or Golden State. Thus 6th.

At 6th our odds are:
#1: 6.3%
#2: 7.1%
#3: 8.1%
#1-#3: 21.5%

So we'll pick 6th (maybe 7th even--we have a 30.5% shot at moving down a spot).

First 4 will be some combination of Wall, Favors, Turner, & Cousins. Then it get's interesting. If the Pistons stay at 5, I think they take Aldrich; if the Warriors or Wiz drop to 5 I think they take Johnson; and if the TWolves drop to 5 I think they take Aldrich. Percentage wise the Wiz actually are most likely to pick 5 (moving down 1 from 4) so let's slot them their and have them take Johnson. At that point the pickings are pretty slim. I can't see Petrie taking Aldrich. Aldrich's offense is just too mediocre/bad to take him. If there's one thing nearly EVERY Petrie pick has in common it's an above average (or better) offensive skill set. I think he believes defensive issues can be solved by the team (via rotations, help D, etc.) but with offense you need skilled players. I think Petrie decides between 1 of these players:
- Greg Monroe: Has the offensive skillset Petrie likes but I think this time around Petrie's trying to build a tougher team; so that may go against Monroe.
- Patrick Patterson: Pretty much a Carl Landry clone--and yes, I could see Petrie taking a Landry clone just so we have more capable bodies up front (you can never have enough).
- Wes Johnson: I know I said the Wiz will take him 5th but I think that if the Kings stay at 6 then he's Petrie's #1 possible target.
- Udoh: Probably a bit lower because of his offense (not as good as the 3 guys above) but I think he's shown enough potential on offense that Petrie could take him here.

In the end, I think we take Patterson.

AS the team is currently I don't see us winning any games the rest of the way. We are in a situation where our main guy got injured and he's been shaken up a bit, while he was out we have suffered some devastating losses. When he comes back it will take at least a game or 2 for him to fit back in and with the way some of the guys have been playing lately just a huge lack of energy i just don't see us winning any more games this year.

Our best chance will be against Minny or Indy but I think at best those will be toss up games.
