Without taking these types of risks, NBA teams end up treadmilling. I'd rather see the risks being taken and failing since eventually ONE has to pan out sooner or later, than a team take no risk at all.

I don't know. Jennings, after a thunderous start, really came back down to earth and now his production is about average because his shooting has been just terrible. He still does many things very well so the future is bright, but the Bucks' success this season is, I think, more from the solid healthy core of Bogut, Salmons backed by M. Moute, Ridnour, Delfino, etc, who all have been really good role players.

In any case I really like Jennings' future, but I'm still not sure if picking a player like him is a good strategy. More often than not, you'll end up with someone like Sebastian Telfair or Gerald Green.

Whether or not dagger is right or not on Bosh singing a new tune, there does seem to be something in the air today that suggests Bosh will probably want out this summer. The $30M thing is irrelevant since BC would just do a S&T. But really, would Bosh want to go through any more losing seasons in the NBA outpost that is Toronto.

this is a change in tune, he sounds defeated, where as at the beginning of the year he was firm on his point and didn't give out too much detail.

How? Vince bitched out every chance he got, Bosh actually played for us.

Bosh's play since the ASB has been roughly on par with Vince's his last quarter-season here. In fact, their PERs are nearly identical over those stretches (around 17).

Vince DEMANDED to get traded. Bosh has NOT.

Of course he hasn't. He's a free agent this summer anyways. Why would he demand to be traded when he can just walk? If he still had another three years on his contract I can pretty much assure you he would be demanding a trade.

Seriously, if YOU were Chris Bosh, what would YOU do?

- The centre you'll be playing along side for the next 5 years is not a centre, and cannot be relied upon
- Your GM coddles said "centre" and will do anything to try to make him a star
- Your star FA wing is a fat, lazy, irresponsible fraud
- Your coach has no spine
- Your starting lineup could not match up athletically with any d-league team

We're both better off parting ways right now.

I'm smarter and more competitive than Bosh, so assuming I'm in his body and in his situation, I'd:

- put heavy pressure on GM duties (forcing/preventing the right trades..etc.). Teach them how to use/interpret stats when analyzing a situation.

- Play smarter if I'm struggling on offense. Not going to get into that now.

- Learn how to play better in the post (never understood why any NBA player can't be decent in the post, unless you're going up against someone twice your height).

- Play some intense defense. I play pretty low to the ground.

- I would have searched for a great trainer and started a better work out routine much earlier than Bosh did.

- If the coach is doing something stupid, I'd give him my input. I'd use the coach for drawing up/creating plays and play a major part in everything else.

- If Bargs isn't rebounding or he's helping late, I'd take him aside and tell him how to play like a f-king big man. Teach him how to jump backwards and contest to avoid fouling when someone is driving right at him and he's not in position for a charge. I'd train him every chance I get.

- Tell the team to pass it to the best option when the shot clock is winding down. Teach the wing players how to channel the opposition to me if they get beat. Tell them they need to box out every possession.

etc. etc. etc.

I'm assuming he's gone next year. And at this point I'm back to where I was last year. Try to get the best return possible for him.

Wait, so is Bosh willing to play second fiddle now? I'm shocked........I guess he is realizing that it's better to be like a Pau Gasol being 2nd on a winning team than being Al Jefferson as a 1st on a losing team.

"After seven years in the league, I want to play on a contender."

Way to be subtle.

Except that return would have been far greater last season.

Do I need to post SC's Top 10 Reasons why T.O hates VC? Have you seen Bosh on the ground on every drive wincing like a little baby? You're seriously comparing this to the VC situation? So everytime a star player leaves the Raptors he's automatically going to be compared to the VC situation? You guys really need to move on from that.

Unfortunately I think he's done.

That quip about playing for a contender pretty much seals it.
