Dejuan Blair's trade value

Post#1 » by Bucksfans1and2 » Thu Mar 25, 2010 2:16 am

Hey all Bucks fan here

The Bucks are probably looking for a banger physical powerforward and I was wondering what it would take to pick him up in a trade. I know he's a rookie that I think has been playing pretty well for you guys, but what do you think his value is?

I belive that Blair is a player that will see SA as home for a while.

I'm just not sure how to answer that question. His value looks high. That's all I can think of.

Most likely, I was just wondering what you think it would take to get him. I'm still slightly frustrated we didn't swap second rounders last year in the Jefferson trade.

He's a guy that I wanna hang onto for a while, his contract is pretty cheap and he's gonna be a very good player.

What it would take from the Bucks? I don't think there's anything there.

I know Blair was a second round pick, but I think even if Bucks offer their 1st round pick this year which is what? either late teens or early 20s, that still won't be enough considering his value on our team. At the same time, Dejuan Blair doesn't really worth a lottery pick even if the Bucks have it.

I see Blair as one of those guys who is going to be more valuable for the Spurs than what anyone offers for him. As it should be, he and Hill are the Spurs best young players.

Yeah, getting rid of Blair or Hill would make no sense.

I can't wait to see how Blair plays next season. I had a best case scenario for Blair and this is pretty much how it went. Like every rookie bigs, they'll be foul proned and inconsistent. he's doing 7.5 points and 6.2 rebounds in 18 minutes. that's 15 points and 12.4 rebounds in 36 minutes. If he's doing 12 points and 11 rebounds next year in 36 minutes, that'd be wicked awesome.

27 and 23 vs Dallas today. The sky's the limit for this kid. I'm so glad we drafted him.

I don't think he is untradeable but SA might value him more than what he is actually worth because we really don't have much youth in the frontcourt.

Untouchable! He's cheap and we are a small market team. Can't afford high priced mistakes like RJ. Mr. Holt has to eat too you know.

Yeah, after that RJ trade... I think we are done talking to the Bucks for a while. I heard that GM had to xcuse himself to laugh when he got the proposal to take RJ off his hands.

Plus, Grizzly Blair is going NoWhere (ryhm'n)...

Have to say thou, Blair won't be able to get any floor time unless he learns to shoot a jumper. Right now, the reason we don't see Duncan plays with Blair is because of that. Duncan and Blair don't work well together mostly because of spacing. Both plays inside. As long as Blair can't shoot a jumper, he'll be Duncan's backup. Meaning comes playoff time, he's a 10-12 minute player. I hope he comes back next season with a jumper. I really do. I think with Dice getting old and Bonner a FA, Blair should be getting 25-30 minutes next season.

i'd be happy with blair giving us 10-12 mins. Maybe the coaches can work with him during the off season and get him a decent humper. Just look at Hill's transformation.

Is Blair with a jumpshot a slightly better version than Malik Rose? I'm finding it hard to know what the difference between the two is right now other than that Malik can actually shoot a jumper.
