HAHAHAH exactly how does that even make sense. Are the Cavs better minus Bron? Heat minus Wade? Nuggs minus Melo???

Yes, good teams FIND A WAY TO WIN A FEW GAMES. Whoopty **** do. That doesn't make you a better team without your best player

“I’d have to think long and hard about it, because I think we only have five guys coming back (under firm contract) off this roster,” Jackson said. “There is kind of a real swing effect on this team with players.”

He's obviously discussed this with Mitch.

Hmmm, link doesn't work for me.

Regarding Phil's comments though, we have 7 players coming back, unless Brown opts out (could have sworn it was a team option) as well as Kobe.

I think we can just go ahead and let Powell's ass go and hope for the best in the draft, and bring back MBenga since he's somewhat serviceable as a reserve in limited minutes (and cheap).

If Morrison, Fisher, and Farmar are gone, then we have to worry about replacing both PG spots with MLE only (or possibly drafting). While it's not ideal, I think we should let Fisher go (maybe come back as an assistant or some crap -- whatever keeps him off the court) and give Farmar his qualifying salary (keep him as a reserve) so that we can have the full MLE available in case we need it. We can always unload Sasha and Farmar mid-season for a solid backup to Kobe (or a PG) if things aren't looking all that hot. Then again, our management is probably already looking into possibilities so maybe they have something better in mind.

Ya sorry, Those links are always real shoddy for some reason. Go to Lakers Nation and read it there. My bad bro.I hear you on all that. Management ain't even watching this team right now. They realize how flawed we are in the backcourt minus Kobe.

No we won't.....don't panic yet.

yes we are lakers 54 22, magic 52 22, and this last 2 weeks are only conference games, so orlando wil play a lot of sorry ass teams
Dude........the Magic have 3 road games they'll probably lose. They play at Dallas on Thursday and San Antonio on Friday, and they play at Cleveland on April 11th a Sunday game on national TV. And several games they can still lose at home, they may lose the Knick game on April 9th by looking ahead to that Cavs game on that Sunday. Like I said man don't panic.

No more decoy role for Kobe he needs to be more agressove on offense none of this get these clowns involved bs, and Phil needs to realize that making Kobe facilitate for 3 quarters and waiting for the fourth to bail us out isn't going to work all the time so something has to change

Do you realize how much CRAZY trust it takes in a man to just let the team be butt raped for 3 quarters and then have confidence Kobe can bring them back? Say what you people want on Phil's thoughts on Kobe, but watch the damn game. He wouldn't let that play out like it does nightly if he didn't have MAD respect for Kobe's game

Kobe needs one game where he just goes off. He needs to drop 60 on someone before the playoffs start to bring the swag back to this team. F*** Gasol and his menstrual wipes...lately, if you throw the ball down low to him it's a turn over half the time. It's time for Kobe to set the tone; otherwise I don't see us getting out of the West. This team is playing with ZERO hunger, no heart, no intelligence...not the way to be two weeks away from the playoffs.

Yeah, we don't have anywhere near the hunger we had last season.

Wasn't Artest supposed to be the reason we didn't let up, with him being hungry for a championship and all? I think it's time for him to become more vocal and get in some asses. He doesn't have seniority on the team, but he has the balls to set some of these wankers straight.

nice point here. because i wanna point out, this is not something new. when kobe goes decoy, HE GOES COMPLETE AND TOTAL DECOY! when he goes scoring punch, HE GOES TOTAL SCORING PUNCHER!

this is not this year, tonite or lately, THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN that way with kobe.

in other words, hes either 1 or the other. but a TOTAL ZONE kobe is rarely found lately. that is where there is a total fusion with passing mixed with scoring. right timing on passes. correct read on taking it for the shot. i dont see this as phil telling or asking kobe to facilitate. he just picks and chooses when to do so. i totally believe that, because jax doesnt order kobe to do anything. just lets him find his way. hes always been that kind of coach.

this season is a new journey for kobe. his journey after shaq was to win one without him. mission completed. now this new journey calls for him to blaze a new path, a path that will lead him to become the greatest player OF THIS GENERATION. right now its shaq 4 rings. kobe 4 rings. duncan 4 rings. kobe wins another, he steps out and head of all of 'em.

but this journey is a tough road to go down.

I went to the same High School as Wale (Quince Orchard) and he's a cool guy (we still keep in touch now) and he's still down to Earth. He's not flashy like these other cats that get some money and some airplay and I respect that about him. I could hit him up right now to ball and he'd still be down. With that said do you live on the east coast? Wale and J. Cole will be performing at UMD and Howard if you live in this area...

When's the concert? J. Cole is my boi. And you obviously know my thoughts on Wale haha. Good to hear he's a down to earth dude. Exactly what I woulda guessed. **** he didn't even care his album flopped. Why? Real hip hop fans know how legit attention deficit really was. I don't live on the east coast, but I make frequent trips to Philly which could be extended if need be hahahah
