yep...... Ibaka and Green are our PF's for the next 10+ years. Collison is our 4/5 utility player. Krstic is our shooting big, now all we need is a defensive big who can rebound and we are set.

How about Westbrook's Big Baby Brother

I think the resemblance is uncanny
Anyone have any thoughts on him? I haven't seen much

I dont understand why all of realgm thinks that Green cant play PF. He IS playing PF. Hes playing it well and his team is winning.
Lamar Odom was just the starting PF for a championship team. I think those guys are pretty similar players and both were assumed to be better playing SF.
Otherwise I agree. Green for a pick is idiotic. He's a very good player. What's the problem?

Odom's much bigger than Green, and I'm sure if we had either Gasol or Bynum Green would be a good PF also.
Green gets bullied by a lot of opposing PF's, he's weak on the glass, and generally presents a lot of matchup problems for us. He's picked up his offensive game and is a clutch player, but isn't good enough (in my opinion) to offset what he gives up at PF.

What say you Slick about Green's Clutch play over the last month or so?

Re: thunder's next draft
With everyone on Kentucky's team jumping ship, I think Daniel Orton requires a serious look from the Thunder, especially with one of the two late 1st round picks they have.
He didn't play much, but he was a great defensive presence in his time on the court. Big body, has low post scoring ability, and is mobile. Seeing how Cole Aldrich is out of the picture, Alabi and Orton seem like pretty good fits for the team.

We need a long athletic shot blocker/rebounder at C. Basically a taller Ibaka.
That's why I think Presti tries to trade up and grab Solomin Alabi in the draft. 7'1" 250lbs with a long wingspan and great defensive player. He has to develop a lot though and I dunno how much Patience Presti has.

agreed he is very intriguing. I have read a few scouting reports and he has some traits that we are looking for.

Re: thunder's next draft
I'd like to see the Thunder use thier disposable assets and draft picks along with cap to trade for a proven commodity at center.
Of course I'm not sure who is going to give up a proven commodity.
I know that some people have talked about how a good fit Noah would be. But really he is only an inch taller than Ibaka and thinner. And he is really only a 10 and 10 guy with 30minutes a night.
Not sure what the Suns would take to part with Robin Lopez?
A while back I did a little comparison with Bierins and Ibaka. In the games Ibaka gets 24minutes he is pretty much a double double guy.
I can live with that.
Who ever the Thunder draft with thier two picks if they stay where they are at, expect them to be a Byron Mullens or a DJ White and ride the pine.
Hell I'd almost rather draft another Euro and stash him for a year or two like they did with Ibaka.
Who's minutes is Alibi going to take? Krystic's? Collison's? Ibaka's? Mullen's?
I just don't see any lower round first beating any one of those guys out for minutes.
Now if they managed to swing Green and parts for DeMarcus Cousins cool I can live with that but we know that isn't going to happen.
Would you guys be happy with Al Horford at Center?
Because I think you give Ibaka Horford's minutes and he can give you similar numbers.
Sure take a flyer on Alibi, but really bottom line to me is that next season I don't see a rookie touching the floor unless it's in Tulsa.
I think the Thunder's starting five next season will be
PG Westbrook
SG Harden
SF Durant
PF Green
C Ibaka
With Maynor, Thabo, Collison, Krystic, White, Weaver, Mullens, and 2 rookies on the bench.
I'm willing to bet they draft a guy like Alibi and a third PG maybe a guy like Bledsoe.

Ibaka does significantly better at PF than C. I don't understand everyone's enthusiasm over pigeon holing the guy into a role he does much worse at.

+1
I don't like Ibaka as a center
his athletic advantage turns into something he needs to use to make up for size

He may not be THE SOLUTION at center but could help while you get it trough free agency or a trade.
I don't think any other big in this draft (Aldrich or Whiteside...) is the answer anyway.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

I really really wish we can move up in the top 10 somehow and grab Cole Aldrich. He is Exactly what we need. A big body who is a banger, defensive presence in the post, can block shots, physical, and great rebounder. Also a decent passer out of the post, and efficient, knows his limitations.

Re: thunder's next draft
I would hope the Knicks (Utah) get a top 3 pick and we can offer Green (can backup AK and Millsap, and let Boozer go), Maynor (giving him back to Utah to play behind Williams) and Weaver (a great defender at SG/SF spot that Sloan loves) for that pick, and use the pick to draft Cousins. That would be awesome...
