What to do with Blatche?

Post#1 » by raffrox » Thu Mar 25, 2010 7:52 am

17 team dynasty keeper league with standard 9 cat roto.

I'm rebuilding my team so I'm just looking at value regardless of positions or cats.

Two deals on the table for my Blatche are...

Blatche FOR Joakim Noah + Earl Clark

Blatche FOR Tyrus Thomas + pick 9 2010 Rookie draft

Blatche has looked good recently by he also has a heap of TO's and by the looks of it a bad attitude.

Either deal worth doing?

If I were you I'd ask McGee instead of Noah.

lol. I should have picked it from the avatar.

Gotta hate it when you get caught out asking in a forum by the guy you're trading with!!

No worries. You forgot to mention something though: It's a 17 team Dynasty keepers league where you get to keep all players in your team.

No way to the Tyrus Thomas deal. It might be worth it for Noah. Blatche is going to have to deal with the return of Arenas and with an incoming top draft pick. He's not going to be this good ever again. If the Wiz draft a player at his position it would not be good for his fatnasy value. If I were you I'd see if you can get even more for Blatche from owners who haven't yet considered the impact of Arenas/a pick. Hes playing like a top 30 player.

Yeah the Tyrus deal was an unlikely option but thought I'd see what the opinions were. Blatche is really polarising people at the moment.

I think the feeling with the Noah deal is that it was really one side or the other but if depending on your views of Andray.

I decided not to deal Blatche at all though. I think I'll enjoy the ride (lol). If he gets his TO's under control he's a keeper for sure (ranked 24 since the allstar break if you take TO's out).

Chicago will be active in free agency and deng will be back. if someone like bosh or boozer ended up in Chicago it would greatly affect noah's stats.
I think you're underestimating blatche, I think washington still has blatche at the center of their plans. even with arenas back the high pick isn't going to make up for the loss of haywood, butler, and jamison. blatche is due for at least another year of jamison like stats.

Trade Blatche for Mike Bibby

"My name is my name" - Marlo Stanfield
"If you come at the king, you best not miss" - Omar Little
