Home Vs Away

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Thu Apr 1, 2010 7:59 pm

Took a quick look at the numbers for our main guys (left Hughes and T2 out because they haven't played enough) and was shocked at what I saw. I mean, I know we have been crap on the road because our record shows that, but the difference when you at the stats individually is shocking.

Jax isn't too much different.
Crash isn't too bad.
TC is not too bad.
Nazzy is not to bad

but

Felts ft% bottoms out.
Boris' 3 point shooting takes a massive hit.
Theo's fg% is a train wreak.
DJ's everything is horrible.
Hulk's everything is horrible

Felts:
Home – fg = 48.5% 3pt = 40.0% ft = 80.9%
Away - fg = 43.5% 3pt = 38.7% ft = 69.6%

Jax:
Home – fg = 43.3% 3pt = 33.3% ft = 78.1%
Away - fg = 41.9% 3pt = 30.9% ft = 76.1%

Crash:
Home – fg = 48.9% 3pt = 38.0% ft = 78.3%
Away - fg = 48.4% 3pt = 39.7% ft = 76.1%

Boris:
Home – fg = 48.0% 3pt = 36.3% ft = 79.2%
Away - fg = 47.9% 3pt = 27.2% ft = 73.2%

Theo:
Home – fg = 50.8% 3pt = 00.0% ft = 79.3%
Away - fg = 39.4% 3pt = 00.0% ft = 73.7%

DJ:
Home – fg = 42.9% 3pt = 45.7% ft = 80.7%
Away - fg = 30.4% 3pt = 29.3% ft = 75.4%

Hulk:
Home – fg = 55.6% 3pt = 40.9% ft = 69.4%
Away - fg = 42.2% 3pt = 18.2% ft = 59.3%

TC:
Home – fg = 54.8% 3pt = 00.0% ft = 76.9%
Away - fg = 53.2% 3pt = 00.0% ft = 76.9%

Nazzy:
Home – fg = 58.1% 3pt = 00.0% ft = 62.1%
Away - fg = 55.1% 3pt = 00.0% ft = 67.8%

WTF?????

DJ is the one that really jumps out at you... shows he is playing scared on the road. 30% for the season on the road. that is ridiculous.

it's amazing how mental the game can be. Shows you where guys are fragile. 30% FG. Can we look up what his FG% was last year? I still don't get wtf happened to him.

I find Theo's dip in fg% equally as shocking and Hulk's 3pt shooting is staggering.

I just don't get it?

So basically there's a lack of confidence, motivation, and energy when we play on the road. Plus, the other teams we're playing are probably more confident and energized when they're at home.

Really good teams like the Magic, Cavs, Celtics, are confident in their ability to win on the road and take a little extra swagger with them. We lack the swagger.

Maybe we should do free throw shooting trainings with Buck Section 6 at full throttle behind the backboard to cover tha ft% difference.
