The Jazz need Lewis Scott

Lewis Scott was a fictional Utah Jazz player from the movie "Celtic Pride." He played outside the system and was able to create plays for himself. The real Jazz team has never had a wing player like him. If the Jazz are going to make some noise they need a guy like Lewis Scott to match guys like Kobe, Durant, Anthony, etc. They need a wing player who will match these guys point for point.

So all the Jazz need is a guy to match Kobe, Durant or Anthony? Have you told KOC this?

Have you noticed that the team tends to play poorly when Deron plays outside the system? Sometimes he is on fire, and the rest of the team just stands around and watches. I don't think that we need a player like that.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Utah doesnt need a Kobe or Lebron, a Salmons or Crawford would be enough to make a huge impact for this team.

I'll settle for Evan Turner.

That may be so, but we're simply not going to go very far in the playoffs if he doesn't. Systems don't win in the playoffs; teams that get great play from great players do. I'm not saying that Deron should be selfish or completely forget about the system, but there will be times when the system simply isn't working, when opposing defenses are shutting down his teammates or his teammates are missing open shots. In times like those, we'll need Deron to step up and carry us, like he did in the second quarter of last night's game.

We don't need a J.R. Smith type who can't play within a system, but we could certainly use a wing who can create his own shot with greater proficiency than our current wings. I don't see how that's even arguable.

It sucks to say it but it's true. The team with the best player wins in the playoffs. It's pretty simple. It's really not much different from the high school teams down through the Jr. Jazz team. All you need is one guy who is bigger, stronger, faster, and better then the other players to win, and you usually will.

In the East it's LeBron and Dwight.

In the West it's Kobe, and maybe Dirk and Melo.

Really if the Jazz want to have a chance they are going to have to have a stellar playoffs from Deron, Boozer, Memo and AK, and solid postseasons from Matthews, CJ and Korver. That is a lot to ask.

Well, Monta is available and he's better than LeBron ;)

we've gotten stellar performances from D-will and Boozer in the playoffs in the past. No reason to think they can't do it again.
