In any case, i don't know, he is a good player but tonight he's obviously over playing his own abilities and i wouldn't say he's screwing you guys at all. A team like the Heat should never be this close with a team of a bunch of D-Leagues and Granger and Murphy. Also, it's costing us more then it's costing you guys. Does it matter if you play Atlanta or Orlando first round? Not really. But from our standpoint, we gotta climb down as much as possible, we've really dig our selfs a massive hole when it comes to draft positioning.
I know he's a good player but he was on a roll tonight. Partially because we did a poor job defending him but also because everything just seemed to fall for him.
I don't think your team is that bad. We all know what a great player Granger is and then you have some talented young kids like Rush and Hibbert and Price is a terrific rookie. Plus you guys still play hard and don't give up which is why you've been so successful in the past weeks. I prefer that kinda play. I know tanking has become popular and we kinda did it in 07/08(and trust me, watching these games was not nice) but why not play hard and compete till the end? This might raise the value of your players dramatically and give you more or better options for trades.
You guys went 5-18 to finish the 02/03 season and got D-Wade. I think he's helped you out quite a bit, eh? We could have gotten a D-Wade clone in Turner, if we went the same route. Oh well. As for the 07/08 team, i don't think you guys tanked. Quit? Maybe. But, that team was awful. Wade wasn't 100% and only played like half the games.
And i will say this, AJ Price did play very well tonight. He looks like a second round steal and like a solid ball player. He will help somewhere down the line. Hibbert and Rush were garbage tonight though. Not a big fan of Rush, but i do think Hibbert will be solid.
