I really hate when they start the year against the Yankees. Opening day is special regardless of who they are playing. And it just takes away a special series later in the year with the Yankees. End of rant.

Will be interesting to see how the Sox stack up early against the Yankees. I'm also wondering how soon in the year Lowell and Ortiz become a platoon at DH?

Yeah, I don't get the scheduling either.

Here's hoping to a 3 team memorable dogfight this year.

Feels really weird as the season begins. Mid 70s, windows open and baseball that matters is on. If only it were June;)

Great game. So much for no offense. Beckett shaky early, hopefully Lester and Lackey can rebound.

On an off note, Nomar is a very good analyst. Meanwhile Schilling... just lol. don't know if anyone caught his long winded stat chucking meltdown while being interviewed before the game.
