2010-2011 Season Tickets

Post#1 » by hhvo » Thu Apr 1, 2010 4:50 am

Hi,

I'm new to the forum, with many things to learn about the community and Bobcats basketball.

With that said, I'm a fan of the Charlotte Bobcats and I look forward to what new management has to offer. For the up coming 2010-2011 Season, I am planning on purchasing season tickets. I have never hold Bobcats or any other season tickets before. So if there is any information you guys could offer to help guide me that would be great... best value section, season holder benefits & incentives, resale market, etc.

Any information would help, thanks.

Hal.

The best value seats in the building are easily the $25 season tickets in section 103 and 116. You are downstairs and you are paying right at $1075 per seat. You will also get free parking for being in the lower bowl.

Good luck and welcome aboard.

Wow, that's great! I didn't know they have a referral program.

Thanks for the advices. I'm looking at the 102, 103, 116 sections, definitely great value there.
What are the season holder benefits for next season? I will probably order it soon to get that "early bird" special.

Thanks again.

well, i have the best deal in the arena with my "rent controlled" nosebleeds seats in section 205. i just paid my bill for next season, $435 total for two seats (5 bucks a ticket). for anyone buying new season tix or single game tix, those seats are 15 bucks a ticket. i am going to be so sad when they decide to raise my rent.

@Fatlever. How did you manage to get a deal like that? $5 per/tix?!

I think i'm going to get sec. 102 W... Great value and close to (kind of) Bobcats bench.

Fats definitely has the best deal but you can't get in on that deal anymore. If I was fats and ever wanted to move down I'd just buy extra tickets and keep those seats until they forced me to pay more.

I personally park at the meters for free and walk about 3/4 blocks.

I do like the 116 etc... area like you are talking about. I have two season tickets in that section. Like you said $25 a game and $1075 for he 43 games you have to buy. They are great season. I very much like having lowers if a friend, date or business partner comes to the game with me...

BUT>>>>>
I will say that I like another section that I have seats in as well...cheaper and better in my opinion. That is the Rock The Rooftop section 217. I have four seats in the front row of section 217. I know for a fact there are are at least two more in that row available. The front row is the key. Here is why I like it:

--The front row of this section is damn close to being on the same level as the suites because the rock the rooftop sections are about 15-20 lower than the rest of the upper deck! In fact, the couple times my rep took me to the uptown suite, I looked across and I was dead even with my seats.
--The section has a full service bar IN THE SECTION
--The section has free games for kids...great for when I take the niece.
--Every Tuesday night game is a PARTY game and that means Lady Cats hang out there pre-game, you get a free t-shirt every time and on the jumbtron.
--The seats have a ledge in front of them to put my feet up or put a beer, nachos etc...
--The tickets are GREAT sellers. I have sold my front row uppers for an average of $32 each this season..a profit of over $17 a seats...that was hard to do with my lowers in $116
--Very active fans with LOTS of young ladies hanging out at the bar
--the tickets are $15 each...that means you can get two seats for $30 a game. $30x43:$1290...for $215 more you get two seats and all that other crap.

yeah, like chabber said, my tix deal isnt available anymore. the first year the bobcats moved into the new arena that offered a 199 per seat deal for the upper deck corner sections. i jumped all over it. i think they kept the same deal the following year, but amazingly, my section still was mostly empty. i think, as people gave up those 199 seats they were put back on the market at 3x that amount. luckily they decided to keep the original 199 holders at the same rate over the first 5 years in the new arena. i will hang on to these tix for as long as they keep the price in that range. i dont think i could justify playing 600 per seat per year for those same seats when i only make it to 15-20 games due to work schedule.
