I don't think it's a question that Damon was a big loss. But acting like he's (and Jackson for that matter) going to keep up a .350+ BA is absurd. Once they move into that huge park in DET there numbers will go down, and Grandersons will improve because of his power to RF (and the way the stadium at NY is with the wind). Not to mention Gardner is a huge defensive upgrade in LF and we got an upgrade in CF as well.

We will see how Granderson and others do during the season 3/31/2010

A.jackson 21 for 59=.356 avg (1-Hr)Det
C.granderson 12 for 44 .273 avg (0-Hr)N.Y.
J.damon 18 for 50 -360 avg (2-hr)Det
M.Thames 7 for 48 .146 avg (2-hr) N.Y.
P.Coke era = 4.09 0-hr 3-walks 5- SO Det

preseason is over so lets see what happens during the season

P.s. Mod (HCyanks)need to back off their is nothing wrong in talking about grandersons performance and should not lock this thread.I thought we were in America not Russia.

Yes, i did see that bomb curtis granderson hit .455 feet
Granderson homered in his first at-bat with New York, hammering a 3-2 fastball from Boston ace Josh Beckett .

C.Granderson spring average is .273 i think that is very good and favorable for a center fielder thats a higher average than he hit all of last season.I am very happy for c.granderson and the yankee's.
