MLB Draft to be televised.
For the 1st time the MLB draft will be filmed on ESPN2. Starting 2 PM Thursday June 7th. It's not much now but if this thing builds a big enough audience it will become a weekend or primetime event ala NBA or NFL draft.
The only drawback is you won't see the majority of these players for 2-5 years, but i love drafts so i'll be tuning in to get an idea on how my teams and others are shaping up for the futures. This is especially cool with teams like the Rangers, DRays, Giants or BJ's that have multiple 1st rounders.
Each team's first round pick will be televised and all clubs will have a maximum of five minutes to make their selections.

I'm going to watch to see if I'm drafted.

Yeah ok, if it was 5 minutes each pick then it would be much more enjoyable. Watching Boomer mumble over words and Mel Kiper make bad predictions is pretty boring to me.

With the 1,499th pick in the 50th round, the NY Yankees select Basketball Jesus...is that adding insult to injury?
