T-Pain won't re-sign with Knicks if 2 Max FA's don't come!

LOS ANGELES - Tracy McGrady has no idea if he'll be a Knick next season. But he doesn't think LeBron James will be one. "To me, in my honest opinion, I don't see it happening," McGrady said of James bolting Cleveland for New York. "I really don't."

McGrady said last night that he still wants to be part of it, sort of. He now says he'd consider re-signing with the Knicks as a free agent this summer with a condition: "It has to be that those players come in here."

It's probably moot anyway, because it is not likely that the Knicks will be all that interested in bringing McGrady back. His 21 games have produced concerns about whether he can be a regular rotation player again; given the Knicks' interest in playing up-tempo, it is debatable whether he is even the right fit.

Considering the fact that he's never been out of the first round of the playoffs, McGrady likely will look to join a championship contender, and his hometown Orlando Magic would be a perfect scenario. His focus now is to be a role player and he could come extremely cheap. "I'm not looking to go in anywhere and be The Man again," he said.

LOL, he's sour 'cause he knows Coach and GM don't want him back.

A month ago he was another used car salesman for 2010 plan. Now he's throwing salt in the game like a washed up boxer.

LOL, what a difference a few days makes. From, "I'll recruit LeDiva to come over," to basically, "Meh, they 're still a circus and I won't think about even signing if they don't get two big guys." Hey, T-Pain, don't let the door hit your bony arse on the way out...

^This.

I guess when Mike D'Antoni let the cat out the hat about his preference to let T-Pain walk his feelings got hurt.

Yeah, that quote about wanting to play for Orlando pissed a few people off and got the media curious. But I wonder which came first TMAC plying for the MAGIC or the powers-that-be cooling on him.

My bet would be the powers that be cooling on him. Then once T-Pain felt the pain to his ego he threw the "I wanna go home to Orlando" out there as a counter-punch.

Get this clown out of New York. He is a quitter and a loser. Let him walk, even if we add two max players.

No it was our GM who threw the first stone saying T-Mac would have to take on a different role next year....then the Amar'e article with no defense from our camp, then T-Mac fired with the Orlando schtik and his return to All-Star caliber play, then D'AnToni let the cat out the bag and now T-Mac is taking deeper digs.

Same old Tracy. Sh*t like that is why he's behind enemy lines when he comes to Houston now.

In the long haul, we are barely gonna remember this guy wearing a Knicks uni.
He'll find a new team this summer thanks in large part to the showcasing the Knicks have allowed him thus far. He's playing for us but this guy is not a Knick. He's a fraud. Watch his body language when he's out there. He's more arrogant than an in-his-prime-Steph was playing for us. Pandering and smiling to the crowd, winking, etc....Calling himself the "team's best player" after not even being here a week?!? The whole "carries himself like a superstar" thing; like he's Lebron or Kobe...when he's closer to Gilbert or Iggy....and right now I'd take either over him.

He'd never accept the minimum here. This guy is all talk. Orlando wants no part of him and Houston couldn't wait to get rid of his toxic ego and mental midgetdom. For this clown to say he doesn't see Lebron coming after all the talk when he first got here, what does that say? In, what two months or so he's come around to thinking we don't have what it takes to turn it around? What's given our "best player" this notion? The meals on the flights leave much to be desired? The coaching that's allowed him total unabashed freedom on offense to show his stuff at the expense of our young pillars' development? What has he helped us do other than get lower under the cap? Has he helped us win a game yet? Really?? Right now he should only have praise for this organization considering we went all-in to get him here and playing. He's a diva. One thing about Al, David, Rodriguez and even Duhon that I do like is regardless of their impending free agency you know these guys wanna be here and wanna be part of something they know is gonna be special.

I don't know about that. Harrington is probably the only one out of those three that would want to be here, seeing how he's a Knicks fan. David Lee wants to be anywhere that gives him the most money. I have a feeling that he would still leave if NY offered the same amount as the team he ends up going to, and this is considering Walsh gave him more money than he had to this off-season. I don't think Duhon has any ties to NY. The only reason he would want to play here is because D'Antoni has a man crush on him, even with two better, younger PG on the team.

If McGrady signed for the MIN he could be helpful off the bench, but NY has Chandler and Walker, and the swing man position is loaded with talent league-wide. I would rather have Anthony Morrow for $5 mill/yr than McGrady for $1.5 mill, or whatever the VET MIN is.
It's hard being a Knicks fan...
