Disappointing

Post#1 » by Smash3 » Mon Apr 5, 2010 3:31 pm

I think its disappointing with what has happened to the realgm rockets fans. We used to have so many posters but when all of a sudden we're losing everyone's gone. All though we have a lot of loyal realgm' posters that are still here. Maybe I'm exaggerating but I usual just spectate and enjoy reading posts here but this year this board has been barely active. Hopefully next year things will turn around though

Bandwagon town = very cyclical board.

i think the economy wont do fans any good. maybe working 2 jobs, working during gametime, etc. i dunno, but ya mos def fans wont show up when tmac and yao wotn play for the year.

to me this board has been surprisingly more active than i thought it would. at the beggingin of the season we were gonna make a thread for all the games, instead of a new thread each game. next season it'll be more active, as long as yao can play

I think that traffic will pick up when the post-season starts. There has to be a lot of excitement about the return of Yao, the draft & trying (in vain) to get inside the head of Morey.

Not really, the Rockets have one of the best non-realgm fan sites of any team.

Nah, it's always been like this. The Rocket's board is usually very quiet.

me too

Nah. But I'll be keeping a close eye on them f'sure.

Also, I don't think quiet is so bad. In general, less noise == greater quality. I mean, for big games and playoffs and stuff it's cool having a crowd and all but ... well, maybe next season ;-)

it was pretty lively during last playoffs, and also during the 22 game streak when i was lurking. i guess the rockets just need to accomplish something for people to post more. this year they had done nothing to shout about.

Have not been posting last few weeks but have continue to come to the board for new posts/updates. :)
Also kind of busy with works and family lately :-?

Think the board will be busy again come the June draft time.

Never fear, a new poster is here!

Long time basketball/NBA fan from China, have been lurking around reading for a couple of years, and finally came to the senses to make an account. Oh and don't worry, I'm not a YOF :)

I can't speak for other people, but if there is an interesting thread to post in, and if I have the time, I will. Knicks, Rox, whoever. Booyah!

I believe the response they teach in Chinese elementary schools is "Fine, thank you, and you?" :D

Seriously though, a bit bummed about college apps/selection and our happy-chucking-no-defense backcourt.

Personally I got too many other things going on in life to care about a team thats going nowhere this season. I believe in what Houston is doing but I also know it will take time to become good again. Until then and I can only speak for myself..but my fandom as it relates to discussing Rockets with you guys..has and will continue to be limited.

As for others...this team lacks a star player. The NBA is about stars. Acquire one and the board will be alive again.
