Its not terry because if you look at he kind talks about dirk's personal life a little bit and says it distracted the team, you really think someone on the mavs would be talking about Dirk like that.

Maybe it's Andre Miller?

He recently said "Anything can happen in the playoffs, but I know for certain with the way the league is, no team wants to face the Lakers in the first round. Because they are going to advance, regardless of how well you play, just because of the way the market is."
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Already lining up their excuses. Good ole Blazers and their fans, like farti.

Nonetheless, I do hope Blazers face LA in 1st round this year. They'd give them a tough, tough fight. Portland has had their number more than these other teams have in years past.

Opened up every team in every year Ollie's played for on BR and wrote them down  I didn't think it'd be such a long list, was hoping it'd narrow it down a bit. Though now maybe people can start eliminating possibilities.

The fact that we even know some refs' name shows the NBA has a problem with them. I can't even think of a single ref or umpire in another sport. I'm sure I've recognized a few umpires, but unfortunately refs hold the most sway in basketball. It's really a shame because it kills the integrity and ruins it for a lot of fans.

I still say JET. And saying the dirk thing might be true, I mean nobody really knows if it distracted the team so horribly unless they were ON the team maybe. + Miles Simon was a good college player who didn't make it to the NBA
spurs are gonna win in 07 quote me on it....

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's a former University of Texas player- I mean anyone who thinks or even mentions that TJ Ford is underrated would have to be a UT homer. So maybe Royal Ivey?

I'd guess Trevor Ariza but this most certainly is a beat writer who follows NBA players very closely.

I'm pretty sure AK drinks and given his "open" marriage, I doubt he would chastise other players for getting involved with groupies. I'd say he's about the least likely person behind these quotes.

My personal thought is that I'd rule out Jason Terry too after he mentioned what happened with Dirk. Then again, the player's remaining anonymous so that might not matter if he was talking about his teammates.

Those who have mentioned Matt Barnes are holding up. The mention of Kevin Ollie, and he played with Ollie back in Philadelphia. He's been around for a few years.

To me, these are the things it seems we know about him:

- respects Durant's play
- seems to have been in the league for some years now
- can't stand CP3 and his way with the refs
- not Derek Fisher
- not Kevin Ollie
- Teams we can rule out (IMHO; I'm basing these off of players and teams he has mentioned): Mavs, Lakers, Thunder, Hornets, Bobcats, Trailblazers, Wizards, Heat

Most of this I took from SoCAL24's post: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=999679&start=15#p22892503

SoCAL24 wrote:Tyrus Thomas
Matt Barnes
Jason Terry
Jason Richardson
Shawn Marion

my take.

Jason Terry I already mentioned IMHO is not the guy due to the Dirk example being mentioned, and not Tyrus Thomas as he was talking about Larry Brown working the refs (TT plays for Charlotte now).

Whoever it is, they're good reads.

Derek Fisher would be my guess.

I don't think Derek Fisher would refer to himself in third person.

I could see it being Nash.

Also could be a number of journeymen vets. Devean George perhaps?

Andre Iguodala
he's not recognized as a tier 2 star by the media
he knows what the stars don't get called for because he always guards them
seems like a guy who will respect people if they deserve it (durant) yet can totally hate people because they whine about everything (Paul)
