Jones B-hop sucked... not that it's surprising, but still...

Two counter punchers... Jones is long done, should have hung em up ahwile ago. He still has descent defense but his offense is virtually non existent at this stage of his career...

And though the match sucked, I loved B-hop's theatrics and his cheap shots and such. He's a classic veteran, a throwback if you will. But he still looked descent in there. Aggressive, good cardio, good gameplan, even @ 45 he's still a tough matchup for anyone.

To think this cost $59 in HD...feel bad for the ppl who paid.

I watched it on Sopcast for the first time and the feed was really good.

I really don't want to comment on what I just saw.

Let's hope there's no need to settle the score with a trilogy.

MFing Hopkins. I was laughing through the first 3-4 rounds with BHop low-blowing and digging in with his head. Laughing cos it's so crafty. But then mid-fight he's the MFer bitching and complaining? WTF? No honor.

I didn't think the fight itself was a disgrace.

"decent", spykelee.

Ah, he's **** crying after the fight, bitching. It's the brain stem that you're trying to protect, not just anywhere behind the ears. He didn't get hit once in the stem of his skull.

So I am not a big boxing fan, never really was, but I am getting into it. I've been talking to a lot of other boxing fans and many of them have told me that Roy Jones Jr. was always overrated. And never really beat anyone worth talking about etc. etc.

So to the bigger boxing fans, what's your take on it? Was Roy as good as many make him out to be, or was he overrated. It's hard to look that type a thing up.

Roy is was an ATG.... He isn't overrated...

His prime was zapped when he had to cut over 25 lbs of lean mean muscle to face Tarver. He was never the same afterwards. He should have fought at cruiserweight after the Ruiz fight.

I really don't feel like defending him anymore because quite honestly... the last fight really left a bad taste in my mouth.

There's room for criticism in how contrived his career was through the '90s. There were a lot great British boxers in his weight class whom he avoided. He never re-matched Toney or Hopkins. He, or his handlers, definitely had no thirst for serious competition.

On the other hand, he absolutely devastated everyone he did face. A lot of B fighters, but B fighters toyed with like mice. Grab DVD rips of his Greatest Knock-Outs or Greatest Power Shots. Unbelievable stuff. He KOd dudes from every angle with such ease, it's awesome to watch.

I mean he wasn't going to face Darius Michalczewski who was a nobody in the states... and he wasn't going to come over here.

Okkte and Calzaghe were both fighting nobodies for their respective belts....

and why would he and should he have given a rematch when he clearly won vs two HOF fighters?

He was just a cut above everyone... and truth be told in his prime... he could beat anyone of any generation... He is the closest thing to Sugar Ray Robinson in terms of P4P greatness of any era...

I just watched some Roy Jones Jr. highlights. Some crazy stuff. Too bad i wasn't a big fan of boxing in his prime. Not that i would have been old enough to appreciate it. When i was watching the HL, in related videos they had a Prince Naseem HL. Some crazy stuff, any thoughts on him? I read some pretty controversial stuff. But it's hard to find an unbiased boxing story it seems.

Toney had shut down his camp weeks out. He was not in prime shape by any means. That fight should have been re-matched. Absolutely should have been.

Ottke and Calzaghe both have hugely fluffed records.

Eubank, Benn, Watson are the Brits I'm referring to.

It was unbelievable that he( Prince Haseem) became as big as he was given that he was as small as he was. The thing about him is that he had the rare one punch knockout power that you just don't see at the lower weight classes.

He for all accounts is a HOF that was as flawed as any fighter but could erase all his shortcomings with just one punch. I mean he practically sold out MSG with Kevin Kelly... and they were fighting at 126. I mean most chicks aren't even close to that weight....

You want to see a fun fight... watch that Kevin Kelly and Naseem fight...

A case could be said that if there was no Prince there would be no Pacman...

To create your own style and technique in a sport as old as boxing is impressive. And Hamed has a lot of crazy HL KOs. But when faced with a world class opponent...

Hamed vs Barrera:

A lot of Hamed's KOs, like Roy's, don't even make sense. How do you have enough power in a leaping shovel punch to knock someone out cold? Their power was so uncanny.
