Yet Another 'Rate My Team' thread...

Post#1 » by Optimism Prime » Tue Apr 6, 2010 2:44 pm

First time in a fantasy baseball league, so I'm pretty clueless.

10-team, H2H points league. R, TB, RBI, BB, K, SB; IP, H, ER, BB, K, W, L, SV.

C Miguel Montero
1B Justin Morneau
2B Brian Roberts
3B Ian Stewart
SS Hanley Ramirez
2B/SS Erick Aybar
1B/3B Lance Berkman
OF Justin Upton
OF Jacoby Ellsbury
OF Dexter Fowler
OF Maggliano Ordonez
OF Conor Jackson
UTIL Placido Polanco

P Jon Lester
P Johan Santana
P Josh Johnson
P Francisco Rodriguez
P Heath Bell
P Jose Valverde
P Chad Billingsley
P Scott Kazmir
P Mike Gonzalez

Thoughts? Any obvious stinkers I should drop? Any big weaknesses?

Thanks all.

OP, I'm a little disappointed that you didn't want to join our fantasy league. I didn't know you're a baseball fan. But that's okay because I applaud you for drafting Johan Santana, because that's an automatic championship team.

Overall a solid team with few things to consider. First, I love Kazmir but I don't think he can hold up this season. Second, I don't think Mike Gonzalez is not a good closer and think you can find a replacement in the FA pool. It'd be nice if you could give me some notable players that are available in FA.

It's surprising that your league doesn't keep track of home runs.
