As for others...this team lacks a star player. The NBA is about stars. Acquire one and the board will be alive again.

Iggy sighting.

Especially given that, like myself, he's a software developer, iirc. Life? PSSSH.

Creepa,
It's not just the Rockets board, the 8 or so others I wander thru also are pretty slow.
Many posters like to post ideas on what they would do as a GM. At this time of the year it's hard to do. The trade deadline has passed,so there's no potential trade's to discuss. No one know's where the team will draft, much less who will be available in the draft so that's pretty much off the table.
The Rockets are out of the Playoffs so there are no match-ups to talk about.
We have no idea whether or not the big name potential FA's will even be FAs this summer, and it's kinda hard to get worked up over the Mike Millers right now.
The most polarizing Rocket has been traded.
We're pretty much posted out on Brooks and Ariza.

Once the Off-Season begins and we know where the team stands in the Draft and the informed-and otherwise-rumors start percolating the board will pick up.

It's like that w/ all boards I bet. I haven't been posting as much either, but it's not so much disinterest as I still watch a lot of games to see the youngsters grow into their own. It's just that I don't so amped about it as much knowing this is just a growing season and there's really not much at stake.

SOUP, there's nothing to be ashamed of. I'm pretty sure the Nets could still beat your forum in a pickup game. Probably...

And there's a site called Clutchfans with plenty of rocket fans. There would probably be more posters here, if clutchfans does not exist.

Seems like the knicks and raptors forum is the most active on realgm. I really dont understand why knicks have so many fans since they've been mediocre all these years. LOL . But they were an exciting team when ewing, houston, sprewell, camby, oakley, starks were there.

well the knicks have one of the most dedicated fanbase, unlike the rockets, sadly. with tmac gone and yao out, the rockets fanbase is just dwindling. missing the playoffs doesnt help either.

Return to Houston Rockets
