As the starting point guard for the league's No. 1 defense, [Felton's] been as steady as they come.

First team: Gerald Wallace, Charlotte (+0.19)
Sorry, LeBron. Wallace was the best defensive player on (at the moment) the best defensive team.

I don't think I quoted too much, but if I did, feel free to take it down.

Hoping Ray can make a team one day. If we're sticking to positions, putting him on second team behind Rondo wouldn't be unreasonable.

i cant see wallace really being picked over lebron for anything.....he has a major hype train behind him

Defensively, not sure I would take George Hill or Kyle Lowery over Felton. They probably pick up more steals than him but I don't know if anyone can deny their man the ball better than Felton. That type of thing can screw up the opposing offense big time.

Lowry is better than Felts in every aspect of defense. On ball, off ball, denial, P&R, post - you name it.

Not saying that Felts is a slouch because of course he is not - he's really good - but Lowry is just better.

Not sure about Hill though? He has nice size and quicks, but I haven't seen enough of him to be able to judge.

Lowry for sure though.

Agree with Slam, although Felton's a better ball hawk than Lowry (and Hill). Because of Paul's injury, Rondo should take first team and someone else should get second team. Lowry doesn't play a lot of minutes and isn't a starter, so I don't see the voters putting him in there. I like Felton over the other names on Hollinger's list, except Rondo. Should be interesting. Bell, Okafor, and Wallace all received votes last year; hopefully Felton can get some lovin' this year.

Lebron James has an advantage with defense as he is allowed to create more contact than anyone else in the NBA. I was watching a game where his opponent was trying to drive and he just kept leaning in front of the guy and bumping him back. It was an obvious blocking foul, but you can't have the superstar in foul trouble, so nothing was called. Quite an advantage.

I would still pick Crash over him though.

Wonder if they would take durability into account?

Felts has it all over Lowry there.

How does Hollinger come up with his "All-Defensive Team?" Good defense is not something that always shows up in the box score. So unless Hollinger has watched every NBA game this season, I don't know how he alone can come up with his "All-Defensive Team"

Why would he have had to watch every NBA game? You only need a sample size to be able to draw a conclusion.

I haven't watched every one of Tyreke Evan's games this year - but I know he is good at changing direction when he drives and is very hard to stay in front of.

He is, but if you think about it cracking the top 10 wouldn't be that hard. There aren't a lot of top shelf defensive PGs in the game today.

He is good though. Long arms, good size, reads the offense well, doesn't give up position, stays low, great lateral movement etc.

Sample size of what? The NBA season is very long and there are a lot of variables and factors which change over time. How does he come up with his list? By watching 2 games? What if they were against crappy teams? Or, is this just another one of his made up fake stat comparison charts for defense that he conjures up?

I don't care who makes it, but at least one Bobcats has to make the NBA all defensive team, whether it is Crash or Ray. We are without a doubt, the best defensive team in the league and our players should finally get the respect they deserve
