Does anybody remember that Spurs game when Ginobili was missing one assist (I think) for the triple double, the game game was decided, and during a timeout, Pop asked Manu (who never got one triple double) if he wanted to stay in the game to achieve it, and he refused?
Different attitudes...

I remember reading somewhere Bird was near a quad-double (missing 2? steals or something) and there was one quarter left to play and when asked if he wanted to come back in he said something along the lines of "Why? I've done enough damage already."

If you don't think the players of this generation don't care about stats, you're delusional. Kobe has done it, LeBron has done it, and so much more.

Anyways, all Blatche did was ruin his FG % by taking that horrible shot at the end.

Ricky thinks this guy gets it

Ricky wants to take him out to dinner

Ricky will help him train in the off season

Ricky looks at Blatche like Emperor looks at Anaken SkyWalker... so much potential

Soulmate???

Everyone is talking about Ricky Davis, but Bobby Sura also did it:

There are a few other interesting examples at the bottom of the page.

Unfortunately that's about 90% of the league.

I find that statement false...12 player dress up at a time, 30 team, so thats roughly 360 player. 90% is like 324.. So your telling me 324 player are playing for stats and contracts nightly? Most rotation is 8 deep, theres 4 other guy chilling on the bench.

Also how do you know a players is playing for stats and contract? If he plays too hard, hes consider as trying to pad his stats, but if hes taking it easy, we now label him lazy. See where this is going? The video says it all, the guy try at least 4-5 time to get his triple double. I mean after the first time wouldnt you want to just give up? Instead he made himself look like a fool.

He can't even pull a Ricky Davis, because that wouldn't be considered a rebound and Blatche knows this from watching Ricky Davis.
