Mark my words, Turner is not a franchise player. Might be borderline all-star in the future but I will not be satisfied with that, I WANT WALL DAMN IT.

Dont get too comfortable. I wont be surprised if what you said would turn out the other way.

Am I the only one that doesn't see any superstar potential in Favors or Cousins. Cousins to me will either be Eddie Curry or a selfish stat guy on a bad team like Zach Randolph. With Favors, I was ACC games since I'm down here and I never see him do much that makes me go "wow he's a top 3 pick!" He's the 2nd coming of Stromile Swift. Bomb and get the 3 or 4 pick, I honestly want to trade down and take Patrick Patterson. To me, yes he's 6'8" but has a great wingspan, great hands, solid IQ, a team player and out all all big men available early in the draft, is best suited to play next to Brook. Some of you will say that's not true and may say Greg Monroe is the best big man to put next to Brook, but I think we need someone more athletic.

Just my .02 guys.

Couldn´t agree with you more, Cousins just looks so foul prone in the NBA, I wouldn´t mind him coming off our bench though. But to consider him one of our corners for the future..... ehhh.... I don´t see it. He´s also a John Wall product.

Please enlighten me with information that might make me think otherwise.

It´s not only Walls skillset that has me so hooked on him. He is also a LEADER, and shows HEART. Our poor franchise center right now is sitting on an island, desperate for someone else to show some heart. Harris is no leader, before coming to the Nets he sat on the Mavs bench for most of his career thus far. He just doesnt have the heart to command a team.

We need Wall for all these reasons, Turner is no leader, just a nice scoring option. We have too many of those and its landed us with 7 wins.

You would think a team that is solid at the two most important positions in the game of basketball would win more than 7 damn games. Of course we can also argue that our coaching sucks, but we had LF who was a decent coach and it landed us with the worst start in NBA history.

Wall or bust.

^What else is there to add? If you don't think Evan Turner is a leader through his actions on the court, then there is nothing else to say.

Just because Evan Turner is a leader, doesn't mean that it takes away from Wall's leadership potential.

Is there really anything else that needed to be said about your erroneous comment?

Your whole argument about taking Wall is because he's a leader; you said Turner is "no leader." To me, that sounds like someone who is raving about another player, while making an untrue statement just to make the player they actually want seem better in comparison.

Geez we have a serious Turner bandwagon here.

Why all the hate for Wall?

I don't hate Wall at all. I just don't hate Turner, either. I think the biggest concern for this team is if the Nets fall to either 3 or 4, not whether we get Turner or Wall.

At 3... I think you have to take Cousins and at least try to work him in there with Brook Lopez.
At 4... I could see drafting Favors but personally I'd look at trading down and grabbing someone like Wesley Johnson instead.

I don't especially like either. It's like Thadeous Young vs. Rudy Gay Lite...

I understand the talent Cousins has, but considering the fit (and general character) issues he has, I'd still look to see what you can get in a trade down.

I see a bit of a parallel here to a couple years ago with OJ Mayo. By trading down from #3 (Mayo) to #5 (Love) they also got a very solid rotation player (Mike Miller) and cut a year in a Jaric/Cardinal swap.

I can't think of such a deal off the top of my head (considering just how bunched up the teams are with picks 4-9), but I'd be more apt to trade out of pick #3.

Well if you're trading down from the #3 spot, I think Detroit is the team to look at.

They need a legitimate big man in the worst way and they're fairly solid at the wings so if they end up 5-6 I guess I could live with trading down and nabbing Wesley Johnson+ ...

Detroit was the first team that came to mind. I'm not the biggest Stuckey fan, but would they trade him in a deal with pick 5-6? If so, that looks like a very interesting proposition.
