We're only facing 3/4 of the top of the EC so it'll be a good test.
Hopefully we'll play really really well, put the fear of god in them
before losing not by some mistake of our own as much by a really
good play by their team.

I believe Nick and Blatche should have started all season. I think the gutsy coaching move early in the year would have been to move Antawn to starting SF and bring Caron off the bench as a super sub a la Ginobili.

Hindsight's 20/20, but IMO the season would have gone a lot better had Flip Saunders limited minutes alloted to Jamison, Butler, and Foye, virtually eliminated all minutes for Stevenson and Oberto; and instead increased minutes for Young, Blatche, and McGee.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

I'm not sold on that yet, CCJ. He has an incredibly limited offensive repertoire and always seems to see plays develop a half-second after they happen. He can absolutely light up a bad defensive team that gives him lanes to sky for dunks, but teams with good interior defenders/rebounders can shut him down almost completely.

McGee still has great, great potential, but don't let his numbers in the GS game fool you. He needs to put in a lot more work to even be a good offensive player, let alone a great one. I really hope he does... an athletic defender who can crash the boards and score inside is the kind of asset every team dreams of. McGee is NOT there yet, or even close... but he's shown he has the raw tools to become that if he does the work.

With 0.00 on the game clock, Arenas went to the line for three shot, making them all and winning the game, but he didn't really beat the Warriors. Nellie did.

I remember that game. I was there. It was extraordinary.

I was there too, way up in 400s, but right behind the basket, with a good view of Nelson charging on the court, all the confusion, and Arenas making the shots. I even took a picture of the jumbotron showing 0:00 as Arenas made his shots.

I brought a friend (Bucks fan; warned me about EG) and he said afterwards, "What an unsatisfying way to win." Obviously not a Wizards fan. Maybe not the most satisfying win, but a remarkable and hilarious win. I take what I can get.
