Way to be reactionary. Like I said, Rammy, Byrd, Fuku have all hit better, Lee's typically a slow starter, Sori hasn't been bad with 2 hits yesterday, don't know about Soto, I think he'll be better, Baker should be starting not Rudy's fault, and Theriot should not be a starting short on a good team.

Byrd has hit better? He's 1-7 on the season thus far.

Did hit that big homer on opening when everyone else sucked with exception of Rammy, Fuku. + Whole lineup has been much more patient and put together good at-bats which will pay off at some point.

Did you just hear Len mention Rich Harden's line for lastnight's game?

3 2/3 innings, one hit, three runs, one earned with eight strikeouts. 96 pitches.

I guess some things never change. This dude always pitches weird games.

Just play him off hot hand, lots of pinch hitting, or perhaps get him time then flip him and someone else for a 2B to a team who needs an OF.

We need more runs but we're making Tommy Hanson work through 2 innings. That's all you can ask for.

And who perhaps could be helping with that other than the much-maligned on your part Rudy? We've made all of the Braves starters work so far and like I said eventually that will pay off if we can get a good leadoff man and Lee starts to heat up.

This offense is pathetic. Wells with a leadoff walk and the top of the Cubs order does jacks***. I'm off to watch another pathetic offense in the Bulls.

Reactionary? Here's how we scored our runs this season:
Byrd 3 run homer
Aramis 2 run homer
Glaus error
Theriot sac fly
Colvin solo homer

Teams that manufacture runs this way aren't going to win very many games.

What a play by Colvin to stop that ball. A slower baserunner doesn't get a double there.

Atlanta is a good team. I definitely think they could make the playoffs. I kinda agree with cold5. I'm not sure we'll be any good, but we need more evidence.

Terrible throw. Theriot could have scooped that up though.

Return to Chicago Cubs
