Per the wiretap, what does everyone think of the Pena trade?

Does anybody know anything about the guy we got in return?

I thought letting Pena go had more to do with getting Lillibridge in the Laroche trade.

Erik Cordier will grow on the Atlanta fans if he can stay healthy. So, that

I don't like it. I think we could have gotten someone more reliable for Pena rather than someone that is injury prone. I know we were crowded and didn't have much use for pena but we could have gotten something better imo. Hopefully, i'm proved wrong.

Minor deal....no real effect

There was no room for Pena in our infield and Schuerholtz didnt want him to just go to waste.

And Cordier prolly wont even compete for a roster spot until 2009.

It sounds like we had no choice since he was out of options and couldn't make the team as a bat off the bench

Either trade him or release him....so obviously getting anything for him is a plus IMO.
