Toronto Star Season Pass

Post#1 » by -sk- » Thu Apr 8, 2010 10:26 pm

I was just wondering, I've always wanted to grab the Toronto Star Season Pass for the Blue Jays, but every year around the end of March I google it, find the link on the Jays website, and then it redirects me to regular tickets. Is this because I check it too late, or are there limited quantities and they go fast? This is the third year I've missed out on them and I feel like a total idiot. Anyone get the pass? Know if I can still get them?

If you check every year around the end of March, that would be the reason. You're too late.

I bought mine in the middle of March. Check again once Spring Training starts next year.

Same here, lucky I did because i didn't realize it was a limited time offer. But I have never got it before, what are the seats you generally get like row wise? I generally move up anyway but just curious.

From what I was told its $100 for a single ticket for all 81 games. The downfall is, for those like me who dont live in Toronto, you cant give the pass to friends to use on games you dont plan on going to. Its a fantastic deal, but it would be better if I could actually ensure getting good use out of the pass, which I cant.

I've got them for years. Originally, they had your name on it, but as of late they haven't, and are, in fact, transferable. It's a really great deal if they haven't gone back to the original system.

It's my first year getting them too, so I'm not 100% sure if it's transferrable. However, when I phoned in to order, the agent told me it is ok. The letter that was sent to me as confirmation made no mention of it as being non-transferrable. I agree it is a much sweeter deal if it is transferrable.

As for the seats, it's the best seat available at the 500 level. You can choose where to seat as long as it's in the 500s.

Note, for this season, the pass is good for 80 games. THe season opener is not included.

I can't remember if the Rogers Centre has ushers that check ticket before you sit down (so you can move up to field-level) like the ACC does? That would make this 10x better.

Woah woah... let's not spread misinformation here.

They most certainly ARE transferable. Me and a couple of buddies had 4 between us last year, and only went to a couple of games each. Whenever people had family or friends visiting we would just give them all 4 so they could take them. It's an absolutely excellent deal.

And yes the Rogers Centre certainly does have ushers at every isle. If you're clever or tactful there's still ways to sneak down. But it's tough...

Ya, to the games I've been to the ushers only check if you go to the very front, or you go to really good seats. Moving from the 500 level to field level isn't tough at all.

My buddy and I got a pair a few years ago. Well worth the price. You can get free beer samples at the Steamwhistle brewery if you're nice.
