Thats very cool. On a side note i just shot around with mark jackson at 24 hour fitness in simi valley. His son goes to stoneridge prep and they had a practice there and he was there watching. He's a really cool dude, "hand down man down" lol.

I have a somewhat similar story.

Back in 1999-2000, Fish and Kobe stopped by my High School to donate some Sprite Basketball courts. (more like back boards if i remember correctly).

Oh well, word got out that they where at our high school. I just remember walking out of my 4th period class and running to our gym area to stare.

He had a ball in his hands and was simply putting up layups. He and fish where talking to our school boys and girls basketball teams and what not.

After school, i went back to the court and played a bit going "OH KOBES PRESENCE CONSUMES ME!!!!!!!"

I'll never forget that day.

It's funny because I'm from LA and I saw Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith and Sonny Weems (I think) when they came to play in LA last year. It was actually about four or five hours (like at 2am) after they lost Game 5 to in the WCF. They were walking around West Hollywood and it looked like they were going to bars/clubs. The funny thing is that they had a game less than 48 hours later, and got blow out haha. Go figure.

I believe that...I actually saw jr smith, melo, balkman, taj gibson and derrick rose in the same club in hollywood. Lakers had played the Bulls earlier that night, I believe it was Nov. 20th and the Nuggets were playing the Clippers the next night. Jr Smith had dark shades on and 2 drinks in his hand at a time, not a surprise he scored 2 pts the next night.
