I know the kid is going to be a good power forward for the next 10 years. He might even lead the league in rebounding one day. I was just trying to find a way to upgrade the three and four at the same time, since there will be a lot of free agent power forwards available and not theat many free agent small forwards. We are not getting LeBron, Wade or Joe Johnson. Rudy Gay is restricted and we would have to over pay. Manu just signed an extension, Ray Allen is too old. I just dont hink there will be any quality wing players left to choose from. I fear that we will end up spending our capspace on more role players like Butler and Outlaw.

Hmmn, really I dont have a clue but for me personally I actually want to enjoy watching the clipps next season. Baron walking up the court and dumping it down to Kaman just isnt fun and isnt playing to his strength. So what I would do is make the team an up tempo running team.

1. Trade Kaman, good player but kinda wasted talent in an uptempo system. Probable try to trade him for an upgrade at SF depending on free agecy.

Try to pick up a mobile big who can play D and finish inside. Perfect fit for me is Gortat.

Then round out the bench with athletic shooters, and mobile bigs such as Deandre. Another player I think would be a nice pick up is Rudy Fernandez, could be excellent in an uptempo system, can play some 2 and 3.

Starting 5 of:

Baron
EG
Good Athletic SF
Griffin
Gortat

Fun to watch and competitive. Barons numbers should increase across the board and could be dumped during or at the end of the year if people want.

Maybe it's just me, but while Kaman's value is at an all-time high, I'd trade him now if we can get good value in return. Maybe Kaman + ______ for Bosh S&T? Just throwing that out there.

A Blake/Bosh frontline tandem would be sick.

I wouldn't give up any huge assets to make that happen, but I would gladly move Kaman & maybe future considerations for Bosh. We'd be a little undersized in the frontcourt, but there are not many big centers in the league anyway (Shaq, Yao & Bynum?). We'd also have $11 Million+ to add another big piece via free agency or trade, or we could add some depth/re-sign a few of our free agents. I'd be ecstatic If we could do that and had already selected a SF in the draft.

I say we throw everything at Amare and see if we can sign him outright. Then use Kaman as trade bait for a SF. His value is at an all-time high and we'll never get this good a return for him.

I'm liking the idea of seeing who we can get for Kaman, even though he has had a very succesfuly season for us.

I think the Clippers are in a good position if they don't get too hung up on getting a major FA this summer. They could try and trade Kaman for Prince+DET 2010 first. This would give them another asset for this season and then give them cap space to sign someone else next season. The cherry on top being Prince playing hard in a contract year and solidifying the Clips starting five. With the rest of their cap space they can fill out their roster. Potential lineup below.

PG: Davis/Duhon (3 mil) /Foye (min.)
SG: Gordon/Ronnie Brewer (4 mil)
SF: Prince/Wesley Johnson/Rasual Butler (2 mil)
PF: Griffin/ Jermaine O'Neal (3 mil)
C: Jordan/Cole Adrich/Kwame Brown (2 mil)

I think that team could do some damage IMO.

Trading Kaman for Prince plus a pick wouldn't be a bad move in my opinion. I've been kind of pondering on players that could fill our needs at the 3 and Prince is a player that Clipper fans have discussed plenty over the years. There are a lot of bigs in the draft that we could use to fill in the depth at the 5, plus the mythical Greek player that we have heard about for so long may potentially come over. Prince would provide us with versatility on the court, plus financially.
