Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Phoenix Suns 04/09/10

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Fri Apr 9, 2010 10:09 pm

Well, here we are. Two tough losses brings us to this game, that we must win in my opinion to avoid the 8th seed in the playoffs and a date with the Lakers.

Nash / Amar'e kill us on the pick and roll. Expect Amar'e to have a huge game. Everyone else we have to limit, and we have to get out and run on turnovers and missed shots. Should be a fun game either way.

yeah I could see that but for some reason I don't have a good feeling about this game. I guess it's because Phoenix looks so damn good lately, and we have had trouble closing games out.

which is incredibly frustrating

that and an improved interior is all that is standing between us and contending seriously for years and probably winning a ring or two

This defense is ridiculous. Stupid switches. Stupid hedging. Good offensive teams just rip this apart and find the mismatches / open man.

bad start. make stops ffs. i dont like this team's defense, and offense isnt good structured either. everyone is playing on its own, no team work.

I don't understand the switching we are doing defensively. Put Thabo on Nash, fine. But why go under every screen and switch? Phoenix is going to kill us if we continue to do that.

Agreed. Suns is making open threes. you have to be closer to challenge the shots

Russ is the reason we're a better team. One of the big reasons.

How about Serge?!? Wow!

We had trouble executing offensively with the Suns sending so much help Durant's way and nobody else was making any shots (Green, Russ, Harden). Gritty win if we hold on. Some great defensive plays, nice play by Russ on Nash at the end here.

This is the defense we saw in the middle of the year. Good energy, good closeouts, and aggressively punish the guys driving.

Now lets take care of business vs GS.

Dude Westbrook is 21 years old...he will get much better at his decision making. You can't compare Durant to other 21 years old including Russ.
