For a few years this team has been stacked with good to great pitching prospects, but fewer positional prospects. This remains the case. The only legitimate positional prospect near the majors at this point is Wallace at 1B, whereas we have a number of decent pitchers/prospects such as Cecil, Czep, Litsch, Stewart, Mills, Drabek, Richmond, etc. We also have an above average bullpen too.
Would it be wise to try and address some of the farm's weaknesses with this excess of pitching talent? And if so, why didn't Ricciardi do so, and why hasn't AA done so yet?
Here is the lineup in future, as I see it:
1B: Wallace
2B: Hill
SS: Chapman? ??
3B: ??
C: Arencibia? D'Arnaud? ??
DH: Lind
LF: Snider
CF: ??
RF: Wells
If you optimistically assume both Snider and Wallace meet projections, there are major holes at SS, 3B, C, and CF. Right field too, if you assume Wells leaves before his contract expires.
What prospects/young major leaguers could the Jays target to fill these holes, and could they be had for one or more of the team's pitching prospects?

Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Re: Position Players
I think we keep working through the draft. As for SS, we got the Cuban kid, Hechavarria, who could be good. We haven't had a good SS in a long time.
AA should look at some defensive prospects to fill out CF and 3B. Snider and Wells in the out field is terribly defensively.

Re: Position Players
It's hard to trade for talent these days. Teams hold on to their good prospects dearly, and for good reason because if they pan out they are dirt cheap for their best years. You simply have to draft everyone you want and fill the other gaps with FAs.

I agree, but if you look how few good pitchers are entering FA as teams are locking up their good arms there maybe a chance to trade a legit top of the order starter for some good positional players.
