Wings-Hawks to OT, Nashville is your 7th seed

Haha I'm so glad those idiot Blackhawk fans that wanted Detroit in the 1st round didn't get their wish.

And another Chicago team falling short when it matters. Been a theme this decade. Oh well time to watch the Bulls finish just short of a playoff spot.

This game really didn't matter, you realize this right? Top seed in the West has been pretty meaningless over the years

If you could, that would make WEFFPIM and me both happy.

Rangers-Flyers to a shootout for the playoffs

It might actually be great that we lost since we avoid Detroit until the 3rd round barring a San Jose collapse.

Actually my logic is probably off. Detroit has the 5 seed so we'll get them in the 2nd round. We're f***ed

Flyers win shootout and game 2-1. Philly is your 7th seed, Montreal the 8th.
Buffalo and New Jersey scoreless after 1. Buffalo needs to win in regulation to get the 2 seed, otherwise it's New Jersey's

So WEF, if San Jose, Chicago, and Detroit all win in the first round, would the Blackhawks avoid them in the 2nd round? Them being Detroit

Depends on Vancouver-LA. NHL re-seeds after each round. If what you said happens, then you'd want Vancouver to win to miss Detroit in the second round. That would put San Jose against Detroit, Hawks and Canucks.
twirl, feel free to comment on the thread on the Hawks board throughout the series.

Vancouver should beat LA rather easily so this was a good loss by the Blackhawks. I can't see us beating Detroit in a series.

LA is a lot better than you think. Good defense, good goalie, Kopitar is a monster
Phoenix-Detroit is an interesting matchup. Stingy defense against finesse offense.
