"This game is simple. Our style of play is to try to run and up the tempo. The style of San Antonio is the opposite. So whatever team imposes its will is going to win," point guard Chauncey Billups said Saturday.

Pretty much...

I can't care less if the Nuggets play like snails against T'Wolves, Clippers, Nets, but against teams that play excellent half-court "pack it in" defense like the Spurs and Lakers, you can't slow it down. You just can't... especially when we were running and gunning when we won handily against them. Why can't they **** see this?

How they can still be "lured" into playing such style is just mind-boggling... they know Lakers and Spurs are going to have the upper hand, playing slow down tempo. Why give opponents all the advantages?

Ty pushes the ball, and the best thing about Ty is he doesn't overdribble like other speedy guys like Boykins/ AI. He knows he can get by defenders at will and him dribbling is almost as fast as a passed ball in its travel. But he doesn't force it and still moves the ball, you will see a lot of fastbreak and ball movement by simply playing him.

I'm now more curious how Ty managed to play 28 minutes against Clippers... did AD forget to quickly bench him after 3-4 mins?

AD you doghouse the wrong player... congrats I annoint you as the newest Dumbo, you took it

Ass whoopin, I feel like the league put out a memo a couple weeks ago that told the refs not to call as many fouls for the nuggets.

AD has sexed all the ref's wives. So refs sex the Nugget players now. :(

Every time the Nuggets tried to make a run (it didn't happen often, but every time that it did), Pop called a timeout and took the crowd out of the game, which was smart. AD didn't have an answer for him. Bottom line, the Spurs kicked our ass on both ends of the floor.

Man el loco that's a classic Pop move......to call timeouts to stymie a teams run. He did it to us last week, don't know how Dantley fell for that. And him slowing it down is probably his MO for you guys, like I was telling meloivynene earlier in the thread Pop tries to push tempo against us in hopes of trying to beat back Bynum and Gasol in transition. But against you guys he doesn't need to do that because he knows Nene can get back in transition.

I think the thing is, yes they need to get back in transition.

But when they do protest......it's a whine, a stare, and hang out in backcourt. I'd rather see a worth it for your money technical right up front then a bunch of hustle and hard work the rest of the game. Constant whining just makes everything ineffective.....because the opponent is smiling inside.

I can't believe that Ty Lawson went from a potential rookie of the year at the beginning of the season to not playing at all or ......the 5-10 minutes/ game?

Hopefully he will play a lot in the last 2 games this season....it will also help rest up Chauncey for the playoffs.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Ty has been waaaaaaay overlimited even if the idea was to insert a veteran in ac and maybe give ty some extra time to heal, or as we all suspect because of some bs about rookies having to work their way back in arduously as they watch the whole of their team collapse.

You know.....this isn't "limiting" Ty's minutes......this is eliminating him from the picture entirely.

I believe in earning minutes but Ty doesn't even have a situation where he can earn them back. He's basically being punished for being injured.

Before his injury he was AWESOME. Um, reward? At least give him 75% of the minutes he had before since HE WAS DOING WELL!!!!!

X3, I could see making him earn his way back into the rotation after being out so long, but this punishment doesn't exactly fit the crime. It has gone overboard and the lesson is hurting the team.

Unfortunately, this is how GK rolls. Hurt the team for whatever reason and don't play a certain player. Now AD is following in his leader's shoes, but doing it in a way that seems even dumber.
