Oklahoma City Thunder @ Portland Trailblazers 04/12/10

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Mon Apr 12, 2010 8:37 pm

Well, here we are. A blown call, tired legs against Denver, and a blown game against a beatable team and we're playing for 7th place instead of home court. The West is nuts.

This is the biggest game of the year, obviously. A win and it's likely we'll avoid 8th place and draw a team other than the Lakers. A loss, and 8th place is ours and we better pray Andrew Bynum's return is all talk.

The good news: Brandon Roy will be out of this game.
The bad news: Portland beat the Lakers on the road without Roy in the second half last night.

Possessions are at a premium against Portland and we can't play the same kind of wild basketball we showed against Golden State.

This is where the team has to show it has a killer instinct.

Russ needs to show some poise. I'm not holding my breath.
I think we lose because we don't match up well with Portland even without Roy. I expect the team to play hard but eventually lose in the clutch like always.

oh and Thabo better not see more than 20 minutes tonight, unless Andre Miller goes off which is possible. Lots of Harden tonight...

Good Luck to Portland.

Im glad we made the playoffs. But I think our poise over the last few weeks has shown we are likely in for a first round beat down. (And I have been the most positive upbeat supporter all year.)

I hope we win, but we just aren't playing good ball lately.

Roy out is a blessing, but he doesn';t usually destroy us so itsm not as big a deal as it looks like IMO.

The OKC fan base is smaller than the Portland fan base on RealGM. The ratio is about the same (if you up 0 to 1 since dividing by 0 is illogical)

KidDelicious' post made me smile, as I enjoy when games have a rivalry behind them. I wanted to return the favor.

I personally blame Wiffler for this "rivalry" thing

Nothing wrong with rivalries, but at least be original. :)

I don't know but I hate the smiling about it and joking around. Portland looks like the team on the mission, we look like we're still playing in November.

These guys aren't ready for the playoffs right now.

I think Portland fans are gonna throw things onto the court again. Juwon Howard did not get credit for the rip move.

Russ has been really struggling lately under the lights. I think it's nerves. He has to really settle down and get his emotions / nerves together, he's rushing and playing too fast.
