OKC lands a young center who can give them an anchor in the middle. Biedrins is an excellent rebounder and a quality interior defender, is young, and signed to a reasonable contract (all assuming he returns to form). OKC would be gambling on his health, but it gives them a potentially much better fit. They would still have roughly $10M in cap space to play with as well. I think its a reasonable deal for all three, so it deserves some kind of RealGM award.

Personally, I'm no fan of Green, especially since he gets paid in 2011, but I agree that its a deal all three front offices would consider.

if you can make it the utah pick and minnesota 1st pick in the 2nd round.. I would be on board with this. Green doesn't excite me, but he may suprise people if he is moved to his natural position of SF.

For minnesota, Green can play SF/PF and Randolph can play SF/PF/ and a little C. Draft Sanders with the Charlotte pick. We can only afford 1 unathletic front court player, so Love stays and Pekovic would be dealt for another 3pt shoots.

I think its pretty fair value for all teams. I would probably say yes for Minnesota. Some more trades would probably have to follow since I really don't see either Randolph or Green as small forwards.

There's no way OKC does this unless they are convinced Biedrins is healthy, and can remain healthy.

Talent wise, it's a good idea. If Biedrins' health is not an issue going forward this is a good deal for OKC.

Jefferson is 6' 10" 265lbs. - definitely capable of playing C, especially if he's paired with an athletic shot blocker like Derrick Favors. Having a big body in the middle like Al would be more helpful IMO then another twig like Biedrins. A low post scorer would also open up room for our shooters on the outside.

Jefferson's PROVEN inability to really be a CENTER is the core of this whole deal. Biedrins DOES play D and is a top rebounder. His misdiagnosed injury has been dealt with,and unlike Al Jeffs kness,likely won't be a future concern. NELLIE...does not DO project bigs well. Favors? Even after foolishly trading Randolph + Biedrins, Favors ...if drafted,would be short leash-short minutes. Turiaf would have to play C, Jefferson would play PF,with Wright + hopefully Tolliver backing him. Not sure when or where Favors fits. More likely, GSW drafts someone else who has more fundamentals,or just trades.

The whole CORE idea...to wipe out a front line C+ PF duo that are YOUNG,both do D,both run well,both rebound, to get a guy deficient as a passer/defender,not a speedy transition type, all about half court post up..........then......draft the guy in the top group who's LEAST proven and ready....ouch.

GSW can SCORE. That,for now,Al Jeff scores more than Randolph.....SO WHAT. May as well trade to get Troy Murphy back,we could get him fairly cheap.

I'd do it for MN, but not sure if OKC would do this. The problem is is that due to salary cap this trade couldn't be done before the draft, so the 16 pick couldn't be included. I would include Pekovic in place of 16 if that would get it done. For MN, I would also take on Maggette's contract if that facilitated the deal.

Hmm...now that you say this...I think that it actually works better for both teams

Ellis gives Minnesota a go to scorer at the wing...something they really lack. Some may say that Flynn/Monta backcourt is way too small...yea thats true but, they planned on pairing Rubio/Flynn before Rubio left...Besides they'll probably tank again next year.

Al Jefferson gives us a big body to go up against the Bigs in the West...and pairing him with Andris would be great.

This would work so perfectly if GSW got Turner (#2) and MIN got Cousins (#3)

Darko and Cousins could split time at C for MIN

Obviously I would like to pair Biedrins and Jefferson, but to match salaries we have to send out one of Ellis, Biedrins or Maggette. Maggz would have negative value to Minny so he's out, and they really have no need for Ellis (especially if they're in a position to draft Turner) which pretty much only leaves Beans.

Maybe we could swing a 3 way where Ellis goes to Philly, Iggy goes to Minny and Big Al goes to GS, but most Sixers fans have been pretty opposed to that idea.
