Piso is back!

Bears resign Piso from ESPNChicago.com

The Chicago Bears signed unrestricted free-agent linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa on Monday.

Tinoisamoa started two games for the Bears last season. He injured his knee in the season opener at Green Bay and again in Week 6 at Atlanta, after which he was sidelined for the remainder of the season.

The second-round pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2003 spent six seasons in St. Louis and led the team in tackles four times.

Taking last years blah defense and adding Peppers, Urlacher, Piso and hopefully some production from Gilbert/Melton and a safety from the draft has me putting on my Homer Shoes and practicing my Homer Dance...

I'm glad we brought him back for another go-round. If Urlacher is back healthy and ready to play this year's LB core is looking pretty good with Urlacher, Briggs, Roach, Pisa, Williams, and even Hunter.

I'm still not happy we let Brown AND Wale go though :(

He made such a lasting impression last season

I was very excited for this signing last year. We have the depth to go on without him but with Pisa our LBing crew can be one of the best. No injuries please.

My guess is that they will try to move Williams if its possible or he will want to leave.

Pisa was a beast before he got hurt, and so was Urlacher. Granted the sample size was small, but it's good to have him back.
