Earl Barron turns down an unguaranteed contract for next year. Hes played FIVE solid games for the Knicks this year. Oh yeah, hes PLAYED five games this year. Now mind you I think he can pull off a Mikki Moore-like career, but still bad decision. I mean honestly the Knicks were probably going to waive his contract when the free agent period starting and then try to sign him later. Basically this changes little and yet it still seems like a bad idea.

Richard Jefferson is considering opting out. If you read the article its both about how he doesn't fit the Spurs system (sure, thats true) and he thinks he can get $10 mil a year (???????).

The Rockets thought enough of Alexander Johnson/So little of Hilton Armstrong, to sign Johnson for the remainder of the season and waive Hilton and pay him not to play. Johnson did really well in the NBADL this season. Armstrong was a 12th overall pick in the 2006 draft. I never thought he would be an amazing player, but I never thought he would play 33 games in his 4th season for a total of 3 different teams. Not to mention being waived before the season closes out.

dicky proves he is a tool. if you cant fit next to duncan and manu then you just arent a good team player. i hope he leaves so i can start rooting for the spurs again.

The only reason it might make sense to opt out is because of the new CBA. But still, 10m?

his only hope would be for a team with a lot of cap room looking to save face.

he seems at best to be a solid defensive wing man. he is not worth $10 mill.
surely he wont knock back $15mill

Some team should tell him that they will sign him to a 5 year 50 million dollar contract then the day before the contract is set to be signed, give him a call and say "ummmm, yaaaaa, I've had a change of mind. I'm calling the contract off".

We should do a NCCA tourney style bracket competition for the NBA playoffs, see who can predict games the best, it also might make watching the games more fun.
