The Wizards' apprentices; sorcerers-in-training.

What I'd like to know (and a friend asked me this recently, underscoring my lack of answer): who is that man w/ the walrus mustache that's always walking around the front rows handing out sheets of paper. Is he a statistician? He's been there forever and he's hard to miss.

I think that guess is probably right. I didn't get a clear look at the sheets, but they looked like box scores.

I think that that guys name is Jerry Sachs but I wouldn't swear to it.
He HAS been there forever. I want his job when he retires.

His hair's a lot grayer now than it used to be.

gotta laugh when I see a ticker headline about
Kwame Brown (wants to finish strongly)

until the unlikely event that he actually
ever accomplishes anything, his name will
always bring the UPS slogan to my mind.
What can Brown do for you?

obvious answer - not a #*@&%^ thing

Anyone own a pair of Nike Hyperdunks? I just bought a pair online through Nike's store and haven't received them yet.

I went to a local footlocker and tried on the Hyperdunk's little brother the Hyperize and it felt pretty good but since the Hyperdunk is sold out in every store, I couldn't get a feel for those.

Just curious.

Thrilling duel for the women's basketball championship game.

At the half, 20-12.

Watch out.

viewtopic.php?f=64&t=1001519&p=22976460#p22976460

PC board topic:
manute bol vs bill russell as a defender (rebounding excluded).

Bol was an absolutely amazing physical specimen. He was a dominant 7'7" center in the middle of the lane to the which as we've never seen anyone of that size before or after him that could move like he could. Easily the greatest shot blocker/off the ball defender of all time.

now locked, but still. good gravy. wtf?

Spot on analysis imho. I still regret that we never got to see Profit/Bol on the court together.

Saw a link on the MSN homepage in the sports section that says:

"Tiger Tracker: Hole-by-hole look at his day - Photos"

Needless to say after clicking on it I was quite disappointed.

So, I have the answer for what is the greatest strip club town in America -- outside of Vegas, and maybe even tied with Vegas. Miami? Atlanta? LA? New York? Forget them, and get yourself to Houston. Put it this way, the clubs here get raided on a regular basis for the purpose of getting the clubs to pony up more bribe money. My god, what a wild ride this town is. You always wondered where miss America contestants end up. The answer is the champaign rooms of Houston.

Now that it looks like we'll get the fifth pick and there's only four players we would want I am increasingly afraid of a deja vu situation where a few days before the draft EG trades both picks to utah for kirilenko. we then sit around on draft night as cousins inexplicably slips to fifth and somehow utah proceeds to draft cousins, aldrich and alabi in the 1st round.
Until Grunfeld goes there is no rebuild.
