Brandon Marshall 2 Dolphins!

Post#1 » by GameTime_3 » Wed Apr 14, 2010 1:21 pm

The Denver Broncos are trading wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins for a second-round pick in next week's NFL draft and what league sources say is an additional second-round pick in 2011.

Marshall
The trade is contingent upon the league processing the paperwork and Marshall passing his physical, neither of which is expected to be an issue on Wednesday.

Marshall is scheduled to fly to Miami to take his physical and, if he passes, sign what will be one of the most lucrative wide receiver deals in NFL history, according to league sources. In return, the Broncos will get two high draft picks for a player who caused them headaches in addition to making plays.

i really hope this shuts up the fan base crying about a legit number 1...

personally i think they were going to be good this year anyway, without a "star wr"...

but hey, how can this hurt your team..

Marshall elevates Miami's receiving group from mediocre to very good. He also makes Chad Henne a better QB. When you have a chance to make a move that instantly improves your WHOLE offense, you make it.

I'm actually very excited for Jets/Miami games this coming season. I thought we were a lock but it's going to be very competitive between these two teams I think.

Huge move for the Fins. Chad Henne has to be one of the happiest players in the league right now.

and LOL @ the Seahawks for trading #40 for Charlie Whitehurst when they could have had Marshall with it. Hind-sight is always 20-20, though.

Wow good deal for both teams. Denver now has 3 picks in the first 2 rounds in one of the deepest drafts in recent memory.

Great move by the Dolphins. They finally get a #1 receiver who can make plays in the passing game. Ginn is probably on his way out with Marshall now in the fold. Chad Henne's fantasy stock is on the rise!

There will be plenty of guys who are taken in the second round who have not taken an NFL snap :D

Anyway, I'll come out and say it, Brandon Marshall is somewhat overrated, but this is a pretty good trade for both sides.

^^
Oh I agree, but how can you justify trading a 2nd rounder in what people consider a very deep draft for him?

My thoughts are here, sorry for being lazy and shameless

This could mean no WRs drafted until Cincy takes Dez Bryant at #21--a pick you could carve in marble.

Cincy wont take Dez they have Chad and just signed Antonio Bryant, Dez would be a waste of money for them. Some on like Dallas could use Dez and will prob end up getting him to partner up with Miles Austin

Cincinnati will take Dez Bryant if he's on the board. A top-10 talent, and the Bengals don't have a single receiver that can take pressure off Chad. Antonio Bryant is definitely not that receiver, and he's liable to be gone by next year. Andre Caldwell is talented but would be an ideal slot receiver and the best No. 4 receiver in the league.

Brandon Marshall to Denver seems like the best move for both parties. I'm excited to see what the Dolphins can do with a wide receiver who would actually crack another team's two-deep, and Denver can keep rebuilding with draft picks. The Broncos still have a little ways to go in the personnel department.
