Does Stuckey actually solve anything though? He isn't even on the same level as Devin.

^He adds another non-shooter to the team. We need more of those, right? Right?
I would love Jerebkho, but it wouldn't be worth it for them, then.

I should have prefaced that I wouldn't want to keep Stuckey (since he isn't a shooter), but from a pure value standpoint, I think you have to pull the trigger on Stuckey/Wesley Johnson with hopes/intention of flipping Stuckey.

^Dude, I was just kidding with the "non-shooter...right, right" thing. I understood that you meant it from a value standpoint.

If we fell to the 3rd overall pick and we draft Cousins and Patterson somehow fell to Memphis at 12 to 14(where ever they wind up), I would certainly flip Cousins and Courtney Lee for Patrick Patterson and OJ Mayo. One can dream right?

I don't think Detroit moves Stuckey because then they're just shuffling the deck instead of actually building a team...
I'd start any discussion with them with their first rounder + Austin Daye...

Those are really the only pieces on the Pistons that the Pistons would realistically trade that I could see of being as some use for NJ, so if they're not willing to part with those guys+ then F them.

Re: The Official 2010 NBA Draft (all draft talk here)
I just don't see Daye as a big draw. Yes, he's a decent young player with some potential, but I can't ever see him being on the same level as Prince and that is the player he is most often compared to, both style wise and physically and for good reason. So what do you get? A lower pick and a player that is comparable to Prince in game, but not nearly as good and even frailer. No thanks...

I'm just sad that the Dallas pick completely sucks it's locked into #27 overall now...
As for Turner... How nasty would a trio of:
Harris - Turner - Williams
and / or
Harris - Lee - Turner
Be on defense?
With a real coach man-oh-man I think the Nets would be onto something...

I'm literally praying that we get nothing lower than the 2nd pick.

With Favors, I was ACC games since I'm down here and I never see him do much that makes me go "wow he's a top 3 pick!" He's the 2nd coming of Stromile Swift. Bomb and get the 3 or 4 pick, I honestly want to trade down and take Patrick Patterson. To me, yes he's 6'8" but has a great wingspan, great hands, solid IQ, a team player and out all all big men available early in the draft, is best suited to play next to Brook. Some of you will say that's not true and may say Greg Monroe is the best big man to put next to Brook, but I think we need someone more athletic.
Just my .02 guys.
I think Wall and Turner are heads and shoulders better prospects than anyone else so I am with you.

Monroe is declaring. Awesome, trade down for him if we don't get the top 2 picks, and get some more assets.

In the event the Nets lose in the lottery (ie: pick #4), trading down for Monroe or Wesley Johnson are the 2 top options for me.

Re: The Official 2010 NBA Draft (all draft talk here)
Honestly I've talked about Evan Turner for 2 years and Patrick Patterson for 3 now. I'm in love with both of those guys.
The idea of Harris, Twill, Turner actually makes me drool. 3 guys in your starting 5 with above average court vision/PG abilities is just unreal to me because they are also the true size for their respective positions as well.
Imagine this pipe dream...We land #2, take Turner and still somehow get Lebron. Lebron honestly can play the 4 just fine, but think about that....4 players in your starting 5 who can play the point?
Ok back to reality. If we land #1 or #2 I am more than happy. David Stern that crooked man will make sure one of those happens because he wants the Nets to make money. It's rediculous we barely broke even, even in our Finals years. It's for the benefit of the whole league to have a market like the one the Nets are in turning a profit.
