He's been compared to Soriano (similar frame) and somewhat similar game I think. I don't know much about him either, and really can't find much on the net.

I don't know if he'll ever be as good as Soriano, but it's certainly something to get excited about. We've had a revolving door at the SS spot and no real prospects there for a while, so this is nice to look foward to. Hopefully he pans out, and in a couple years joins the team.

Hes supposed to be very strong, but has never hit for power. Many say the power will come because of his strong bat. He has very good defense, and great speed.

Isnt as good a hitter, and hits for contact rather than power. Hit .260 in a league where 80 batters hit .300 or above. Has an above average glove, speed and range and has great potential. Doesnt know a word of English and the Jays have hired a tutor to teach him English. Hes smart though because Cuban law mandates that everyone should go to school. They have a injured Cuban pitcher in Double A that is sort of mentoring him. Thinks he has a higher ceiling than the Red Sox prospect (Iglesias).

AA talked about him on the McCown show yesterday.

If Hechaverria is going to be our starting ss next year, how likely is it that Alex Gonzalez gets dealt this year at the deadline (if he has any value to a playoff team)?

Could we see Hechaverria in September?

Gonzalez, if he has good value will be dealt even if Hechaverria isn't ready next season.

We also have a team option on Gonzalez, so we can deal him next year's deadline.
