Champions only thread.

Post#1 » by Nowak008 » Mon Dec 24, 2007 5:14 pm

This is the thread for only the guys who climbed the mountain top and claimed victory in fantasy football this season. I defended my crown on my way to a back to back championships.

My team:

Brees
Mcnab

Addai
Alexander
Grant
Ronnie Brown dropped then chapman
keith

Plax
Edwards
Colston
Coles

Cooley

Stover

Baltimore
Seattle

Key to championship was targeting Edwards a bit higher then projected and picking up Grant.

My Championship win was a bit lucky, I had a subpar week and was up 16 points before Sunday's night game - but the other guy had Adrian Peterson, the Vikings defense, and Brandon Marshall left and I had no one.

But it worked out for me. My key, just like everyone else's, was being lucky in the playoffs. That, and dropping Mason Crosby for Josh Brown a few minutes before cutoff.

How bout this for an interesting story, on my bench of 5 I had McNabb (23), S-Jax (16), Boldin (28!), Stecker (19) and Reggie Williams (10) but still managed to win, (unless Gates gets 10 points for my opponent but think I'm pretty safe).

I won four of my five leagues and made the playoffs in all five.

I have never won more than one league in a year before, so its been pretty nice.

I targeted Addai, Edwards and Andre Johnson in every league. I also picked up Jennings in most.

My biggest misfire was avoiding Randy Moss like the plague.

Also one of my biggest mistakes. I took Plax the pick before him so it wasn't too bad.

This isn't fantasy really, but I made it all 17 weeks in the elimination challenge. There's going to be less than 500 on ESPN out of well over 100,000 that manage it.
