I really like Curry but considering I could probably score 20 points if I played for Golden State, it's hard to judge just how good he is and how much of it is Nellie's mad scientist fantasy league system.

Im a huge Steph Curry fan myself. I was buggin when GSW picked him right before us. If you dont believe me watch this clip from ESPN where they got me on video BUGGIN......Standing up with the Walt Frazier Jersey Freaking!
So understanding that. as great as Curry is and believ he will become even more, I would rather Keep Gallo for his size and his ever increasing ability to play both outside as well as inside.. His rebounding average has increased the second part of the year as well.

I don't think GS is trading Curry - and neither will I even consider trading Gallo unless Walsh inks both Lebron and Bosh. But I'd give them Lee in a sign & trade for Anthony Randolph!

I wouldn't either...I feel that Gallo has a much higher upside, seeing he is a great 7 foot shooter who plays good defense. Curry is a great rookie, far exceeded everyone's expectations for his rookie season, but I feel that players like him come around more than players like Gallo do. Gallo has the attitude that just works in NY...he deserves to be here.

No, I would not. Gallo is worth like 3 Currys, bro! Dude! Cowabunga!
Curry is awesome, don't be getting it twisted, but Gallinari is a once in a million years talent, kind of like Lebron but not quite as awesome.

He's got a nice touch but c'mon, Steph Curry is already a significantly better player in my (trying to be as objective as possible) opinion. And to say "any scrub can be good on GS" is a moot point because the Knicks aren't much of a team either.
Again Gallinari is a solid player with a bright future but Steph Curry will at worst be an amazing second option on any team. You can only hope Gallinari can be that. Yea so just in my opinion I think this is a landslide trade in favour of Curry
Curry looks good but it's pretty rare for a small to be an "amazing second option" -- he's got a long ways to go to get to that designation (at worst).
I realize Steph looks great but small guys don't make great second options, generally speaking. They have to be really special.

you don't trade the only positive-sum player, the only legitimate starter for curry. what you do is dangle chandler and lee since both would excel in nellie-ball.
but no way golden state trades curry. for he too is a positive-sum player, and maybe the only one they have at this point.
elils is garbage and will be traded numerous times in his nba career.

Re: Hypothetically -- would you trade Gallo for S. Curry?
I get there being a few people who believe gallo is better/ more valuable than curry but to have nearly 100% of the responses saying he is is absurd. Everyone overrates their own players. Some guy actually said Gallo is a once in a lifetime talent. Really? There are no slow 6-10 guys in the NBA who can shoot 3's? I'm pretty sure Dirk, Bargnani, Okur, Turkoglu all fall into that category. Steph Curry's numbers may have been inflated by Nellie's system but the same can be said about Dantoni's system, there are very few systems where Gallo would be allowed to chuck as many threes as he did. Curry, ran the point in GSW. His numbers over the past month were incredible and frankly, considering no one is really sure as to what Gallo's true position is, if he can stay healthy (back issues for a 19 year old isnt a good sign), and that we already have Chandler on the team, I'd do it. Curry would fit our system just as perfectly as Gallo and if we somehow were to get Lebron or Johnson, then between them and Chandler you've got the 2-3 positions filled. Gallinari is no PF, at least not yet.

You might have a point, but the Red Sox suck.

I am a curry fan, but I would not do it. plus I would like to see curry out of that whacky GS system before I fully judge him..

But you can find a point gaurd....Gallo is the rare player of the 2
how much better is Curry than Collison? Not much. So pg's are all over the league while Gallo has shown he is better than most of his counterparts except Dirk. I understand Curry puts up nice numbers and as a perimeter player more fun to watch but Gallo's skill set isn't something to pass off.

Gallo is a lot closer to Dirk than he is any of the other players you mentioned. He plays with an attitude, a swagger, and as the season progressed (if you watched the games) you were able to see how he became more of a leader knowing when to take over the game, took smarter shots (although still sometimes forced it), he carried himself differently, and he just played better overall. Gallinari does not play soft either...he plays with heart and with the type of attitude that all New York Knicks players should play with. Bargnani, Okur, and Hedo all play soft and they don't play with an attitude.
It's not only the skill set that Gallinari has that makes him special; it's the way he carries himself and the attitude that he plays with. He doesn't take crap and is really a developing leader. I wouldn't do it just because putting everything together, Gallinari is one hell of a special player. Teams that win championships also do not have a star point guard, at least not recently. Fisher, Rondo, Parker (can be argued he is but I don't think he really is), BIllups, Jordan's bulls...you really have to go back to Piston's championships (well before my time) to find a team that has a true star point guard.
Curry is going to be a very special player, but so is Gallinari. Because of the mismatches that Gallinari can create, on offense and defense, he is viewed as a more valuable player. If we could trade Chandler and TD to get Curry, then more people would agree with you...Chandler is more expendable than Gallinari...I'm sure everyone on this board can agree with that.
